I think he means the species not in game before their introduction in new leaf
or at least this is what I understand...

I was thinking that the octopus was new but I was wrong are the new just deer and hamster?

If is to represent Animal Crossing: New Leaf in a banner or logo then which new species could represent the game?

The deer or the hamster species?

After all, most species already exists in GCN, Wild World and City Folk.

I was thinking about a banner with a certain animal species introduced in each game and I know that GCN had cubs, wolves, octopus, bear, rabbits, etc.

I also know the monkey species were new to Wild World and City Folk don't had any new species added.
