Which landscaping project do you like best?

I recently got a 2nd "lost item" book so I could finish designing my southside & northside reading nooks. As you would think, the northside cove features cedar trees while the southside is made using oaks. Which one do you prefer and why? Have you made anything similar in your town? I would really appreciate your opinions or ideas

We'll start with the northside:






Sorry you can't see the bamboo in the 2nd one lol. The placement might seem a little weird but I was working with limited space and I like walking into it right off the bridge.

Oh wow this is so cute!!! I love it! Looks so comfy and cosy and nice, I don't really know which one I like best...

I'm currently trying to do something like that in my town but instead of a tree stump I got the log bench.
It's still pretty incomplete 'cause I can't plant any more trees or I'll lose my perfect town status and I still want some more Jacob's ladders

But I loved the feel of your town! Very foresty haha
I even might visit your dream adress to check it out

This one is right on the cliff & next to my lemon tree orchard which is currently in development.

Let me know which one y'all prefer & what other landscaping ideas you may have. I'm also about to post a picture of my town map so you can see the locations with a better perspective (if my phone permits me).

I feel the need to seek validation (lol) because literally none of my friends or family could care less I've always like a more natural look & I'm excited how my town is turning out now that I'm almost finished landscaping. I haven't updated my DA since my town was just a lil baby because I've been plot resetting the last of my dreamies in town. After Nan moves in (hopefully over the next few days) I will be able to update my DA.

I'm super excited to update it, too!! It has progressed so much since the beginning it blows my mind. I'm sure the tapir will give me a new number just because it's been so long lol.

I'm sure your town will look awesome after you've collected enough Jacob's ladders~! It took me quite a bit to get enough and now I will never regain my perfect town status because of all the skeletons, etc on the ground. Feel free to visit my DA now that way you can compare when I update it. I'm totally gonna post here to notify everyone even though I'm sure no one cares hahaha. It's a winter night town and the paths def look best during winter. Also my house is a complete mess besides the entry room. I don't like the idea of other humans in my town so I never have alts

I really had no idea what I was doing when I chose this map, I just knew I wanted my house away from everything and I wanted to make 2 neighborhoods. I regret a lot of decisions I made when I didn?t know better but I still wouldn?t change anything about my town Large, open spaces intimidate some people but I love the creative freedom it affords me. Y?all can also post pictures of any landscaping projects you are working on; I would love to see them!

I don't really know how to upload screenshots of my own landscaping but I love looking at what other people are doing in their towns. I think it's probably my favorite part of this game, decorating your town.

And I agree with you, it's a lot of fun & very rewarding. I like my map because the river has a bit wildness to it and isn't so clean cut like a lot of others. Though, when I start my new town I may have a river like that :'p

It's a bit messy with patterns on the ground until Nan moves in but I figured it was better to go ahead and update it anyway since I've done so much

No my town is still so new and I haven't bothered to make one yet. Plus there's items scattered everywhere.

I think I like the southside one best, it feels more natural in a way. Like I would pick up that book and read sitting on the stump kind of natural.
Me, I'm just trying to get more Jacob's ladders to decorate. They're stubborn when I WANT them.

I just visited your town and it was so lovely~! I can tell you put a lot of thought into the small details and I loved your mayor's quote referring to a town like a canvas ^_^
I loved the downstairs room in your mayor's house! The low lighting mix of series give it a nice, unique vibe. It was an awesome visit. I only have one more villager to obtain and I will be finished plot resetting FOREVER haha have you obtained all your dreamies? <3

thank you for visiting!! and omg the basement is the place where I have no idea what I'm doing so I just threw together cute things haha
I've been landscaping and waiting for stuff to grow so I'll update it soon, because I usually have it on 7pm because the illuminated stuff is lit up around that time.

I vistited again and I just noticed the bunny tiles.. I used to use that for my town flag! xD and you have Coco too? she's such a unique villager I love her. Ruby was like what the heck are we doing here Bunny? it's always funny meeting your own villagers in a dream town.

and yes I have all of my dreamies! 8 of them are from amiibo cards, and Marshal/Fuchsia were from plot resetting their personality type. so those two keep asking to move haha
