Which is better, Mario or Sonic?

Which is better, Mario or Sonic? Who do you like? Why? ;D

I like both but I voted Mario because I've played more Mario games than Sonic games.

Sonic has been my favorite for years. He's always living life to the fullest with no regrets and beaming in confidence. Playing his games cheered me up more times than I can count.

And Sonic music is the best. <3

Neither? I was never a huge fan of either game, but I did watch a Sonic show and I did play old Mario games, just was never like super into them?

Sonic is definitely great, awesome music like Dae Min said; i don't remember a game going as fast as him either.

Mario is awesome too though. Plus Mario also was in the arcade coin-ops.

I like both but I voted sonic because it's more nostalgic for me.
I was obsessed with playing Sonic 1&2 as a kid and really love the music.

I think Mario has stood the test of time though; Sonic kinda dwindled after it went 3d imo.

Sonic has the same 2d platform like mario games.

Mario just seems a bit more strategically created.

I prefer Sonic by far, if only for the older games. Not fond of either the new Sonic or Mario games.

Mario, because even though new Mario games are usually just 'more of the same', at least my first thought about them isn't "I wonder how astonishingly awful this one is going to be".

Sonic is cinematic and has a brilliant OST and is too charming, but honestly going fast in the 2D games made you slam into something immediately and the 3D games are fine.

But it's much more satisfying to speedrun mario, I prefer the better platforming, and I severely prefer the gameplay.

Neither. Mario's games are soo milked and Sonic is just eh..
But if I really, really had to choose, I'd choose Sonic for sure.

As a character I think Sonic is cooler than Mario. Having grown up with Sonic games my entire life I have to vote for Sonic game-wise too. The recent games haven't been so great, but I've enjoyed so many of the old games. Both Mario and Sonic are great. Sonic has my vote though.

i've played maybe one or two sonic games and unlike old mario games, i can't replay sonic games. they're annoying and aged badly.
