Which games should I get?

I wanted to get Pikmin 3 since it has been released, but I noticed that I have not ever played a Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright game. As a result, I thought that maybe I should start get Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney so I can try something I have never tried before. I have played Pikmin 2 so I am familiar with the game and I am not anxious to play Pikmin 3. I don't like a lot of most puzzle games due to how repetitive, and boring they are. Most puzzle games that have played are just the same thing over and over again usually with no actual substance or point to them. The usually results in me not having any sort of confidence to solve the puzzle. Professor Layton seems to mix things up by giving you a variety of puzzles which are all different every time. As for Phoenix Wright, I have played a demo of one of the games and the series itself seems interesting to me.

So which one should I get? Pikmin 3 or Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney.

Professor Layton definately. I have the game and finished it and its amazing and fun and absolutely adore it. Its puzzles are challenging and the mystery gets even more interesting with the more information you find out!

PL vs PW. I guess it could be my personal preference but seeing as you've already played Pikmin 2 and you haven't played a PL or AA game...

Pikmin 3 is what I'd personally go with.

They just announced a crossover for the two for NA. You should get that than two separate games.

If you're not anxious to play Pkmin 3, go with Layton or Ace Attorney.

I would easily recommend Ace Attorney. Go for Layton if you prefer puzzles. Pikmin 3 looks like a much better investment than 2 was.

Professor layton. Even though the curious village isn't the most visually stunning game, don't worry. The 3ds chapter of the series is a lot prettier to play! I thought you should know that it gets better because when I first picked up the beginning game I was put off by it for those reasons. However, I got the miracle mask for free and that's what's really drew me in to the saga.

If you don't feel like doing some of the same stuff as in Pikmin 2, then you should go with Professor Layton. That's coming from someone who just now joined playing the Pikmin series and has never played a Professor Layton game.

I strongly recommend playing through the broadcast order, it gives it a prequel feel. When Azran Legacy comes out, I would suggest then playing it chronologically so it seems fun and makes sense.

I have made my choice

I have thought this through and I have decided that I will get Pikmin 3 and wait for Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright. I only wanted to get the first Professor Layton and first Phoenix Wright game so I can be up to speed with the story at least a bit.

However, considering it is a crossover game, the story does not follow anything and instead seems to be a whole different story. Also, it seems that it doesn't have the investigation parts from the ace attorney games and it just gives you the evidence and puts you right in the courtroom.

Also, I take it back, I can't wait to play Pikmin 3. I don't know why I ever said that.
