If you could pick one video game out of all the games you've ever played, which one would be your #1 choice to experience for the 1st time again?
Probably actually animal crossing because I’ve been playing for around 4 years now and would love to restart and experience the joy of playing it for the first time again! If you could pick one video game out of all the games you've ever played, which one would be your #1 choice to experience for the 1st time again?
Yes! So much yes! Outer Wilds is just phenomenal, one of a kind as far as I know, though it's possible some similar titles might've come out since and I just don't know about them. But I seriously think this is one of the best games I've ever played, with such an amazing and unique experience! It's easily Outer Wilds for me. While it's a game I played for the first time just three months ago, it's one of the best games I've ever played, and one of the thoughts I had after finishing it is that I wish I could experience it for the very first time again in the future.
I agree so much! I went into Outer Wilds knowing basically nothing and I'm sooo glad I did! I noticed that when the game is recommended there's often this one big thing mentioned, it was even in the Switch trailer if I remember correctly. And sure, I get that they need to grab attention somehow, but I still think it's a pretty massive spoiler even if you might learn about it fairly early in the playthrough.Part of what made the game so phenomenal for me was being able to go into it blind and be filled with a sense of wonder, a sense of discovery, a sense of accomplishment, wanting to keep playing more and more so I could explore the entirety of the world and unravel all the mysteries the game had to offer and figure out how to reach the end of the game.
My 1st thought was Pokemon Red/Blue. Picking your starter, 1st Pokemon battle with Pidgey or Rattata, catching your first Pokemon. Gaming peaked right thereI can think of a couple of candidates: Animal Crossing (GCN) or Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow.
Now, experiencing them the way I would want to would be not having experienced any title after them, because like, R/B/Y especially, are very dated games nowadays. It just wouldn't be the same in today's world.

So if anyone’s considering Outer Wilds now - please don't look too much into it! The less you know the better!
But yeah, I wish I could completely forget this exceptional game. With my memory loss privilegesI will forget most of it at some point, but I'm pretty sure I will still remember two or three major things. And two of my friends played it recently and I had some stuff refreshed, so forgetting might take a bit longer than I expected. At least the DLC seems to be doing a great job at fading from my memory (it was awesome too!)
From the other games maybe Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? It had some plot points that will be hard to forget, but at the same time I would gladly replay it one day knowing everything I know today. I'm pretty sure the experience would still be great with all the little details I did not notice or understand on the first playthrough. So yeah, forgetting Outer Wilds only would be just fine.
