Which furniture fits with the mermaid set?

Hey! I hope this is the correct forum so if it's not, please correct me! I'm not looking to buy any items so I think it counts.
I've been designing my room in ACNL and I'm trying to use the mermaid set because I think it's really pretty! Though, I don't really know which other furniture fits the set so I've been a bit stuck. Do you guys have any tips or suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated!

In New Leaf I remember using some furniture from the pirates set to give a more sea/beach vibe? Or stuff like the basket chair, or from the cabana set?

Same here I would use the pirate set

But when you use that I would not recommend the mermaid wall, just the floor. Also there is another good set to also use which is the fish set that you earn from Fishing Tourney.

I can see the Fish furniture going good with the mermaid set, but also the Pirate-themed furniture would be good too!

Some of the astrology pieces go really well with the mermaid set, like the aquarius urn and the gemini closet. I also think the merlion statues would be very fitting.

I would use marble-ly stuff or the zodiac items
