Which DS should I get?

I'd say you should get whatever is most affordable for you. The New 3DS will probably be the most expensive, unless you wait awhile to get a used one. I personally wouldn't get a 2DS (not a big fan of the fact that it doesn't close, among other things), but they have some really cute colors, so if you're aiming more for aesthetics, that's probably gonna be your cheapest and prettiest option.

Other than those reasons, I'd get the XL.

Ah, wait, you didn't mention an XL. Well, if screen size is an issue, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) the 2DS has a screen as big as the XL, so that's another point in its favor.

Well if you live in NA, the XL is your only option for the new one.

New 3DS XL. But if you're forced into a 2DS try for the transparent one. Makes me miss their old Gameboy, GBA & N64 controller clear colors.

Wait, you're willing to get the original 3DS model? I highly recommend that you avoid it. Short battery life, uncomfortably sharp edges and the less-than-stable 3D effect are going to make your life miserable. Instead, grab yourself a cheap but efficient 2DS, or even better: any New 3DS model for the most optimal gaming experience that also allow you for playing exclusive New 3DS games.

I have a midnight purple 3ds and i loved it! I now use my xl mostly but i didn't have any problems with the edges or any of that. They weren't "sharp" to me and fit my hands comfortably.

I would honestly just save up for one of the New Nintendo 3DS XLs. It's future proofing and you get the comfort of the XL.

Guessing they're gonna be like 10+$.
That's their way or collecting money for people not spending the extra on the XL.
But faceplates only work on the smal one. So if you're in the US you can't use faceplates since the XL is the only ds available.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure every region except NA got the small one.
I would have gotten the XL anyways, but I do love the white one for the smaller one.
