i want to get pokemon alpha sapphire, super smash bros or a second copy of animal crossing for christmas, but i'm not sure which one to get! super smash bros looks fun, but i kind of suck. pokemon alpha sapphire looks fun, but i already have soulsilver, white 2 and x. and i've wanted a second copy of acnl basically ever since i got the game, but my family might think i'm dumb if i ask for that...

edit: the 3ds games i currently have are animal crossing, pokemon x, pokemon rumble blast and ocarina of time 3d.

Alpha Sapphire, I got it and it is really fun. It is extremely nostalgic for me because the first Pokemon game I played is Sapphire. But even if you never played the originals, you'd still enjoy this game with all the features there. The secret bases are actually really fun like with the fact that you can go to other people's bases to collect flags daily and the customization is a lot of fun. Soaring is really fun as well, you'd start to wonder why they never had that in the older games. These are only few of the great things about this game.

I would get pokemon Alpha sapphire! :D I haven't got the game yet, but it sounds awesome! :D

acnl if you've been wanting it for a while, at least you know it will be played and put to good use??
imo, i have super smash bros too and i only play if my friends want to (i dont play alone cuz idk lol). ive loved ssb growing up but atm im not feeling it too much `-`... as for pokemon, up to you! i haven't played alpha sapphire, so yeah. XD

Honestly I'm thinking about trading in my copy of SSB
I would get Pokemon AS because from what I've seen it looks amazing and loads of fun

My vote goes towards ACNL because you know you'll get good use out of it.
I wasn't a fan of SSB on the 3DS (but I do really like it on the WiiU), and I haven't played Pokemon since R&S for Gameboy... :o

I've been playing new leaf constantly since its release date (June something 2012)

I bought pokemon X/Y and stopped playing it a few days after I completed the main story. In my opinion, always AC. It has a LOT more content and a much richer replay value. It will keep you entertained for hours (potentially years, like me). Pokemon will not.

Oh, I read your OP. You already have animal crossing...

Uh, Pokemon.

I wouldn't get SSB, because there have been reports of people breaking the circle pad on their 3DS when playing. It seems more practical to play it on the Wii U, too.

ORAS is fun but whether you decide to get it is up to you and how you feel about Pok?mon games. Did you play the original Hoenn games? If you did, you might like it for the nostalgia. If you didn't, you might enjoy playing it. The story changes slightly but the region feels the same (and it's nice to see on 3D), and I think the difficulty is also closer to the original if you have Exp. Share switched off. There are also features like the Pok?Nav and contests are back, both of which are things that make it fun to keep playing after you beat the game. The general look and vibe are similar to X because even though you can't change the way your character looks, features like Amie are still available.

Whether you should get a second copy of ACNL depends on what you'd want from it. Personally, I'd rather use the money I'd spend on that to buy a new game, since I don't think I'd get much use out of a second copy of ACNL. If you think you'd use it a lot and enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with getting another copy. Lots of people do since they don't want to reset but want to work on a different town. You can always explain the amount of options and villagers, and the way saves work, to your family.

I'd say Pokemon because I've played Alpha Sapphire every day since it has come out and being a Pokemon game, there's a lot to do. I have played this more than even Smash Wii U so I think it'd be worth getting.
Smash 3DS just feels really awkward to play with, and I've barely touched my second copy of NL. I know people love to play with 2 towns, but I just didn't find it enjoyable.

I would recommend that you get Alpha Sapphire because I have a lot of pokemon games and they are awesome so I would recommend it.

I'm going to be different and suggest Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. I played the earlier iterations on the PSP, and it was the sole reason I was convinced I should get a 3DS. It just has so much replayability because of the different weapons there are to craft and different playstyles to try. Just getting through the main quests/story should take you a minimum of 100 hours, and then you have another hundred or so quests to do for the guild/multiplayer quests.

Alternatively, I would say Pok?mon, because I haven't really played SSB and personally I'm not sure I would want a second copy of AC when I had the option of a completely new game.

All of them.

Including: Kirby Triple Deluxe, Link Between Worlds, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, and Majora's Mask 3D.

actually, i think i'm just going to get a second copy of acnl. i've wanted one for literally a year.
