Where’s the strangest place you’ve found a lost item?

Today Bam left his “fitness journal” in an area on the third floor which can’t be accessed by villagers. I only noticed because I was doing some weeding on the second floor. In the past I’ve found lost items hidden behind cliffs, but they were always areas accessible to villagers.

Diana lost a journal that was literally 6 squares away from from her front door.

Pashima lost a bag in front of Ables.

Cranston and Raymond have both lost stuff right on paths.

I can't recall the villager's names but I always find makeup bags near the gravestones.

Don't know what that means but alright.

My villagers keep losing stuff in the giant tangled malevolent forest that is the majority of my island. They aren’t even supposed to be able to get there as I only have one bridge connected to a small river island! It makes sense at least that stuff gets lost there lore-wise tho

The strangest thing is finding a lost item in front of their house!

I find it hard to believe that they didn't notice it.

The strangest place I found a lost item was on the top cliffs at the back of my island inside the walkway of my graveyard. I was like um what happened here I was like I am just going to leave this here and ran off haha. It was next to a grave stone haha

On cliff edge (1 square width where 2nd level goes to 3rd level) absolutely no reason to be there... except monthly weeding

I forgot who lost it, but I found someone's journal at the far back of the island near the rocks and ocean - a very secluded area... It was on the upper left part of my island and all my villagers were living at the bottom right part of my island at the time

Dom once told me he had lost his journal I literally searched everywhere (obviously not) over and over but I couldn't find the stupid thing. I was getting really frustrated because it was literally nowhere. Then I realised I hadn't checked the mostly in accessible hidden beach - there it was.... was unimpressed.

Most of the time my villagers 'lose' their items right in front of their houses, or it will be like 5 steps away from where they are standing. It baffles me every time.

Mine lose their stuff in basic areas and clearings, what baffled me was way back when I started the game Paula did the treasure hunt game and turned out to be in the clifftops where they couldn't get to yet

One Tybalt lost a book in the middle of a spot of land surrounded by water. There was no way he could get there, unless he just threw the book

Alfonso just lost his diary on the cliff (where my other house is) that can only be accessed by a combination of vaulting poles and a ladder.

Considering he's the Lazy sort who sometimes forgets he can move, I was kind of shocked lol.
