Where's Lief?

I time traveled a day forward and Label is there right now. Does this mean I can't see Lief?

It's most likely that:
-Are you completely sure you updated the game? Switch games sometimes have to be update manually through the home menu
-If you did updated the game , Leif could probably show up the next week.

It's been a long time since we've seen him (minus Pocket Camp) so he probably has moss growing all over him. He's just very camouflaged right now.

Hmm yeah I did update but I guess Label is just wanting to be there instead :^P
TBH I'm assuming it's because when I updated, I was in a different month? So when I went back .. maybe that messed something up?

Nope from what I can tell if you played earlier today then the days data has already been made but if you didn't play before the update he will show, he should be in your island sometime next week and on. Also I would be happy to open my gates if you want to see what Leif has in my island today

Ah.... I started up the game before updating ;; I updated something last night, thought it was the Leif update.

TBH I'm assuming it's because when I updated, I was in a different month? So when I went back .. maybe that messed something up?

i updated when i was in Jan 2019, save data was made and then i switched back to real time and I have Leif today..
i do have another friend who doesn't have him today though

I don't think so , I personally TT'ed before the update to grind NMT and went into the 23rd , then I saved the game.
After the update , I TT'ed again to the 23th and I still saw Leif

It might have been the pre-patch for the update instead of the update itself!

Yes but you were remaking that days data, when you tt to a date you have already been through it makes it like a new day basically but with your progress.
