Where do I get purple violets?

Hello guys! I've only recently gotten ACNL and I've been way too addicted to it so far-- trying to create my dream town. It's going through some rapid changes, and I want purple violets and white roses to line my pathways, but I can't find that much of them on the island (none actually). Is it just my luck that I can't find any or do they only spawn in the actual town? D:

it's all about spawn, however if you have 2 purple violets you can breed them.

For regular flowers like those, I recommend doing the island gardening tours and just pocketing tons of the flowers you need That's how I got a bunch of violets and lilies for my town.

Check Leif's gardening shop daily- some days she will have purple violet in stock. And have Beautiful Town Ordinance in your town. Villagers will plant regular flowers around the town and water them c:

Thanks!! At one point when I was building my town, a freaking villager built her home RIGHT in the middle of where I planned everything! I got so mad I timeskipped back and forth (probably 200 years in total hahahaha) until she finally left. By the time I was done, since I had the ordinance on, my whole town became flowers. x) Unfortunately only like 15 of them were purple violets

That's exactly how I get mine. I go to the Island and use one of the gardening, fishing, or bug catching tours to fill my pockets when I need more regular flowers. That's also how I get tropical fruit.
