Where did they go???

Recently, I cut down my bamboo forest because it got too big. Behind one of the trees was my stego model. I thought that maybe someone moved in on top of it or something, but there it was! Behind some bamboo! Now, I had also lost some other items, including my golden slingshot and golden fishing rod. Are they gone forever, or just somewhere in my town? I checked my storage and lost and found, but they aren't there. Where could they have gone?

Likely someone didn't move on top it, you just thought that because you couldn't find it for a long time. I doubt that other items you lost would turn up like that. Very likely that your two golden tools are gone forever.
