Where did all the Sharks go

I was playing all day and didn't find one single shark what's happening

it might be the weather/season you could be playing in? but remember, sharks don't appear all the time.

Did you bait the pole with peanut butter? That always lure sharks to me and i catch them.

Starting around 4 pm and later they should show up more on the island, some last till midnight too sometimes, but that's when I fished for sharks

I hardly ever fish for sharks in my town. Too rare. Has to be evening too.

Try going on the island after about 6 PM, if you just catch the small fish for awhile eventually they'll start showing up. But I've never encountered a shark outside of the island

No the sharks are around all the time in my towns. Went fishing at 4am and caught a lot of sharks in town.
It's easier to catch them in town if you have the silver fishing rod.

I see them all the time in my town >.< Usually they show up later in the evening more often then the morning

The only times I have ever seen them is very late at night in my town. I really recommend just going to the Island to catch your sharks instead after 6 pm. They spawn faaar more frequently there. There has been multiple times I have gone to the Island and seen sharks spawning every three or so minutes, meanwhile I have only seen a total of five in my town in the past few months of playing.
