When you think you don't need to save shells...

I thought I didn't need to save up too many shells, especially since all the shell recipes I had only used giant clams. So I only saved giant clams and sold the rest of my shells for Nook Miles. Then I get the shell partition recipe, which I think looks great and want to use as a fence for Marina's shell garden, and now I can't find a single venus comb! It's like the murex snails have suddenly gone extinct on my island. These darn shells can't respawn fast enough...

I save giant clam shells because they can be used to make the shell fountain.

I had to build one for Punchy, and I swear they went extinct for a day.

I want to make shell partitions just once and can’t find a single venus comb despite hoarding shells for weeks!
