When you realize you've made a terrible mistake....

So, I've been trying my best to not reset my campsite or plots for specific villagers. I get to meet a lot of villagers I would have otherwise skipped over, and also its a lot more exciting when a cool villager moves in by surprise! So I was thrilled to wake up to find that Punchy had moved into my town all by himself! He's not one of my dreamies or anything but he's pretty cute and I was happy to see him there. After hanging out with him a little on his move in day, I was really in love, and his little "mrmpht" catchphrase was adorable.

Now, not resetting for villgers, I end up with a lot of....not so great residents in my town. Some are hidden gems who wind up being really cool! But others.....less so. In particular I really hate smugs, they just creep me out! So I've found myself taking out some frustration on them. Usually in the form of changing their catchphrases to mean insults...

Fast forward to today, and Punchy is finally out and about walking in my town. I run up to him, excited to see what he has to say and maybe run some errands for him, only to realize that his catchphrase is no longer a cute little "mrmpht" and instead he is now ending every sentence with "FARTBOY!"

Oh yeah, you totally can! But it just changes it to a boring phrase, not back to their original, so I might as well just wait for him to ask to change it!
