When will the camper move in?

From your experience..
Day 1 being the day you met them at the campsite
Day 2 the day after?
etc?

I've been reading differently online and I want to make sure I get a good plot !

It's always been day 3 for me. Day 1 you meet them, day 2 they're back home packing, day 3 their plot appears in your town.
