When will someone move into Kinopot?

At the moment I have 8 villagers, I have never had the full 10. I had nine but one of them moved out on the 30th of last month. I haven't had any campers since she moved or any sign of someone replacing her. When will someone be moving in?

My town has perfect status, animals should be queuing up to live here! Haha

So is there any reason for this? When will I finally get a new villager?

I have basically had a new villager per day, my 10th is currently un-packing, and I have had one camper. If think the 10th comes after visiting people / towns. And my 10th says they are from a town I've been to before.

9 is the normal max

To get 10, you either get them from another town over wifi after they move out, or by asking them to move in by campsite

I think if you hit 10, somebody will try moving out so that you go back to 9, though. I dunno, it happened to me

The chances of someone moving in is random. You just been having really bad luck, like I was in my old town.

I suggest if you have room for another character, tomorrow morning make a new player, and look around for a sign saying someone is moving in. If you don't find one, turn the 3DS off without saving and try again until you do find one. You can also use this trick to determine who and where an animal moves in.
