How do you feel when a new animal moves in? Normally im like oh cool! BUT other times they move in the wrong spot! I have small orchards and such planted. And a villager will just destroy my trees! And it kind of bugs me cause theres so much open space and they set up on my orchard instead of of all the free land! And that happend to me the second time this week(i skip days to mass produce hybrids) well today a neighbor moved in and took out 6 trees well when i walked in to see what DEMON of a neighbor would attack my orchard?!? I walked in to a Blue deer named Bam and then i was like "HEY WELCOME!" So then i didnt care! Are you biased about who moves in your town? Haha

I don't have the destruction thing going on.
However, I started off with 3 rats in my town (they're rats not mice).
I was sooooooo annoyed. So by the time one of them moved out and a new villager moved in,
it was a sheep....and I already had a sheep.

I just hate getting multiple of the same animal.

Phoebe was the first to move into my town. She moved in the area where my perfect cherries were going to go, so I hated her. After getting to know her, I really liked her. I actually love her now. Lionel moved right next to her, but he's not even that cool. Thank God he's moving... At least Phoebe had her kind heart to make up for her horrible placement.
Walker moved where I was going to put my lighthouse, but he's cool. He's moving, though, so I don't care so much anymore..
Maple moved to where I was going to put my perfect cherry orchard after Phoebe messed that up, but when I got to meet her, I instantly loved her, so it's okay.
Eugene moved on top of some flowers, but I hate the pansies so it was totally okay.

I feel the same way unless its a villager i like. I have 2 deer now and im ok with that. I think they are pretty cool. Also after meeting Hans id have another gorilla too. But i font like alot of cats really. I want Moe though he is cool

Graham moved right in front of my town hall but when I met him I loved him - He's gone now though.
Blanche moved 2 spaced behind my house taking out a bunch of flowers, bushes and half my path, she had to go.

Learned my lesson though, now I do the character reset trick, no villagers be messin' with my town now!!

I had that happen to my first hybrid garden! Darn neighbors. As mayor i should be allowed to place houses!

It's exciting considering I have some control over who moves in and where :) I have two villages in my town, 5 villagers in each.

I'm probably in the minority but I kind of enjoy the challenge of just letting a villager move in wherever. I've had to rearrange paths, flowers, trees, etc. but it's forced me to be creative in a couple cases and I've ended up really liking the results.

Reset trick? Like what? Please do explain!

I don't mind if it doesn't interfere with the path and stuff. Like, I have two houses at the moment that are in the way of the path and have made the map look a bit sloppy. I don't really like the neighbours either but I might try snag their pictures before I let them go. I've had at least four perfect apple trees because of this. I might put public works in areas I really don't want them to land their houses.

Same thing happened to me Julian moved in and destroyed my tulips I wanted to cry a little but I really like Julian and he is slowly becoming one of my favorite villagers.

I think one of the reasons villagers have freedom to move where they want is because of PWP's... If they had sign post in this game, one of your villagers might be forever in your dream spot for a lighthouse, caf?, ect. So while many of us complain about where villagers move, you have to understand at least they're not stuck there forever, lol. But I agree, it does suck when you see a plot go up in a horrible place and then read the name and it's someone you love </3

I've only had one villager move in to a really annoying spot. I'm so used to having quite a big space to walk when I go up to re-tail, but Merengue moved in basically next to it so it's annoying to go past. But I forgive her, because she's my favourite. ;_; <3

I've been so lucky as of now. All my villagers move in right near a path so I don't have to change anything. Also they formed little neighborhoods and clusters so I have plenty of room for gardens and orchards.

I have never cared where a villager builds his or her house. I put my public works projects wherever Isabelle will let me. I don't have a specific area for trees or flowers or hybrids or anything. I don't have any paths and have no plans for them. I let my villagers plant most of the flowers, so the area where five of us live looks like a carpet, and the whole town has a very natural feel. I love when new villagers move in. However, in my main village I've been inviting villagers that are moving out of their original towns, so what used to be a surprise is now just a happy occasion. I should be getting a new villager house plot tomorrow morning. I invited the villager, so I know who is moving in; where she builds her house will be a total surprise.

When I had no control about who moved in, I was always excited to see who my new villagers were going to be. At the time, who they were was secondary to their house position. It actually took me a while to realize that Hazel's and Chops' house placements were bad.

Now that I've built up a bit of a plan for my town, I'm a little bit pickier on where I'd like my villagers to end up. I'm still excited to see new villagers move in, even though I more likely than not know who it is, but I do try and get their house in a good place.

I'm always happy and excited to see a new house plot because I want to meet as many villagers as I can playing this game! :D

I don't stress over trees that get sacrificed for the house plot because they can be replanted. As for hybrids, I can grow them again. In any case, I always try to plant hybrids in "safe" places, next to things (PWPs, rocks, etc) and buildings (town hall, my mayor's house, etc) that won't get removed for a new villager's house.
