When people beg for bells?!?!

I can't be the only one who hates this. At least once a day I encounter someone on the island who is only there to bother people for bells. Usually, they'll follow me around and scare away all of the bugs and fish until I either leave or yell at them (although I try not to do this). But, sometimes they're just people who come to the island ask if you have bells and then get mad and leave if you say no.

Has this ever happened to you? Does it bother you? I really hope I'm not the only one who hates this xD

You know what I do most of the time just to be a troll? I ask them why first, if they ask me for bells, I'll usually give them a chance, if they seem genuine and just want some, I'll usually give a 99k bag. But on to the mean internet stuff! If they seem rude or scare away things, I'll take 100 bells and put it on the ground, and waits to see what happens! Example, trees cut down, I'll go swimming . *grabs popcorn*

I would totally drop bells and then open a menu so they couldn't leave, therefore would have to flip the wifi switch so they can't have any bells anyway.

When people ask for bells I try to make them feel like horrible people or tell them to go work for their money. If they continue to harass me then I flip the switch.

I'm happy to see that people are giving the bell beggars a hard time. They're annoying, and need to be taught a lesson.

I always copy them. They ask for bells then I ask them for bells. I follow them around saying "please give me bells, I'm so poor". I keep bugging them until they leave or flip the wifi. It's fun.lol.

i dont go to the island that often lol, especially not club tortimer. the only people i've met there are either there to catch bugs, buy items or just?? stand there?? once i met a really nice japanese person who i played some tours with, but other than that i've never really interacted with them :>

I've never been asked for bells, as yet - I wouldn't want to give bells cos they have cost me 'real' time to get - playing the game earns bells - so my answer to those who ask would be - go & play the game!
Haven't been to CT in months, don't feel like going if I'm going to get hustled.

Bugs spawn more frequently on the island, that's all. It seems to be okay to go to CT now, because it seems to have calmed down a little, in the UK, anyway, there are only a handful of people who use CT.

I went to the island yesterday, I was walking around then someone joined.
They starting saying 'plz I need bells 2 by house' and stuff like that. I went along and said 'Sorry I'm poor' and then they didn't come into the tour with me. So I went without them lol.
I hate it so much... Argh.
