Personally, I'd take a return of Bowser over a new villian introduction any day.

This is kinda random, I know, but it was just something me and my friend were talking about yesterday.

Bowser. It's like Link and Ganondorf. Harry and Voldemort. Kim Possible and Dr. Drakken.

Err not that I watch the last one. I just know these things. :r

As much as I like Bowser I would absolutely love a new villain, or perhaps the return of an old one besides Bowser.

no WAY would I want a new villain... I'm a... how would you say it... habitual, in a nostalgic way I guess... If something was one way in the beginning and it was good, I need it kept that way. Even if I personally don't like something, if it's always been a part of a game or TV Show, I almost need it to stay.

one of the prime examples is from Sesame Street, we all grew up with it and loved all the characters. (and hopefully don't still watch it

 ) We all knew and loved the cookie monster. Earlier this week a friend told me there's a "Veggie Monster". Wha- What? you're kidding me, right? "Veggie Monster"!? Apparently they thought the Cookie Monster was promoting obesity. Come on people!

STOP THE MADNESS!!!!11!1+SHIFT+111!!11!!!!!

New ones. Bowser isn't that creative and they will start running out of ideas with him, so its best just to have other ones while they are at it.

It's not like Bowser would vanish entirely. I would just like to see a new villain. The more Mario characters, the better.

Mario's nemesis is Bowser. Nintendo has made that very clear throughout the Mario series. The only platformer to not feature Bowser is Super Mario Bros. 2, and not only is that the black sheep of the series, but it technically isn't a Mario game if you know the story behind the game.

And even if you count the non-traditional Mario games that have a story, the main antagonist is almost always Bowser. Super Paper Mario and the Mario & Luigi series are the only games that come to mind.
