For me, the game is "complete" after I've gotten all my dreamies and finished landscaping. I'm not really into completing the catalog, catching every bug and fish, buying every wetsuit, etc...the joy I get out of acnl is from interacting with my dreamies, and creating a beautiful town that has a clear sense of completeness. Once I've reached that point in a town, it's time to focus on a new town.

Noveon is complete, and since then, I've put the cartridge away and haven't played it in weeks. But I have 0 regrets. I'll never delete it from the cartridge, because in the future when I'm less busy I'll play it again and continue to interact with all my dreamies, and relax in the beautiful environment I created. For now, I've moved on to focusing on "completing" Luneta and Pyrena.

So when does the game "end" for you? When is everything "complete"? Have you ever reached that point before?

For me it's when I'm totally happy with my town and villagers, and when I update my dream address for the last time.
Then it's still not going to be over (I still want to adopt new villagers and such) but I feel like that'll be the culmination of my hard work :p

I won't let my game end. when I grow old, my kids and grandkids will play the game for me lol jk

I think it'll end when I finished my catalogue since it's a huge task and hardest to complete in my opinion. But I took it slow and never bothered to make it my main goal or something. I play AC just to relax :D

I don't think it will ever truly "end" for me. It's doubtful I'll catch every bug and fish and I certainly won't have all of the badges. I know I won't get the Streetpass badge because that's something I rarely do. Same with pulling weeds. And I'm not concerned about earning gold at all in the other catagories.

The game either ends when I get bored or when something else takes up my time. I've never been into getting a 'perfect town' of sorts, I've just been into playing the game just to make me happy.

The game will probably end for me once I get all my dreamies, finish landscaping, and am overall happy with my town. When I finally finish Heaven I might try to complete my museum and badge collection, but it's not like it's a huge priority to get it done, especially with badges like Streetpass I'll probably never get. After I've done everything I wanted in Heaven I'll likely work on Moonview more. When I'm done with that, I might do something with my cycling town.

New Leaf never ends for me. <3 The only time it could possibly end if I got all of the badges, caught all the fish/bugs, completed my landscaping, got all my dreamies, completed my museum, LOTS of things!

I don't see this game as one that has an "end". Many people have been discussing this lately and it's interesting to see everyone's point. I can't put down Laputa and leave it. There will always be things for me to do. I've been playing it since release and I'm still landscaping, I'm still putting PWPs down. Sometimes I put something down and tear it up the next day if it doesn't work. I feel like my work will never end and I love that about this game.

Hopefully, never. I mean, I'm sure I'll probably move on to the next big game in the series when it comes out... but until then, I'm just going to enjoy life in Matcha.

For me it's when my nooklings has been expanded to the highest it can go, and my town is exactly how I want it. :)

The horrible completionist in me really comes out in New Leaf, I feel like I'd need to 100% complete everything in the game (getting all the badges, fully completing my catalog, getting every dream villager, etc.) before I'd consider it "ended", LOL.. and I do aim for that in my game. I figure it's nearly impossible to do it though, let alone finishing landscaping and being totally happy with my town, so I guess that's a good thing because then there won't really be an end.

I think my game will end once my hard copy animal crossing SD card breaks or my 3DS breaks, but other than that I'll probably play till I'm old, this game is so endless that's why it's also a reason why I like it so much! I think when you feel it's time to be done then it can be x3 yeeee, hardcore animal crossing for life

when i visit someone's dream town that's better than mine
