When do villagers move?

Skye said she was moving on the 25th, and yet it's the 24th in my game and she isn't packing... Hm.

She said "I guess I should finish packing, since I'm leaving so soon" but I don't know if she's just taking a break, or she hasn't technically begun yet.

So, my question is, do villagers leave on the day they say, or is that just when they begin packing?

If she told you the 25th was her moving date, that'll be the date all her stuff is in boxes. Her house and everything will be gone the 26th.

She hasn't changed her mind, because I just talked to her and asked if she should change her mind, and I said no. She agreed, so I doubt there'll be any problems.
