When do side rooms grow larger?

Do the additional rooms downstairs grow in size? I just bought the upstairs so ik I am a few upgrades away from it maybe being possible.

Any ideas when upgrading the size is possible?

Never really looked at the scaling of upgrades for the home anywhere.

in this game, they don't get any bigger unless they add it via update

They dont right now but they may update that in the future? Not sure.

hoping the do eventually do an update to expand. Side rooms are very realistic, but want a larger room for functionality

Of all the things that are unlikely but very wanted, I really hope they add room upgrades in a future update.

I never thought it’d bother me so much, because I really like small, cozy rooms and often hated that NL forced us into making them bigger.
Now however, I constantly find myself running out of space—there’s literally not enough room for a full table with chairs in the kitchen!

I’m especially disappointed since it’s ruining my plans for alt characters’ houses. I was going to create some facilities, like a school or restaurant, but with these small rooms that just isn’t feasible the way I envisioned.

yeah that's why it should be a choice tbh!! if people want a tiny cozy house like how you felt in NL, you should be able to, but my girlfriend is feeling like you and really wanted to make a school but she can't. they should really add an update to fix this, it's so disappointing. i made my kitchen work i think, but it still feels so tiny and cramped.
