Thanks! I already put down several, so I will stop! If I go to an island, could I possibly run into someone to invite (if I like them)? And is it one per day max? I already have the forced camper moving in, tomorrow... will that stop another from moving in?
If you invite amiibo villagers and all ten plots on your island are full, you get to pick who should move out for them. Thanks, you two! I wish I would have asked this prior to putting down more plots. My amiibos won't be here for a couple more days.

Does it ask who you want to move out or does it suggest someone to move out? If they suggest someone, can you say no if they suggest your favorite villager?
For amiibos specifically, you will be able to select who you want to move out!
Amiibo villagers will show up in your campsite immediately after you scan the card, but you need to have them visit at least three times to invite them to your island. If you talk to them, they will ask you to craft something for them (and give you the DIY if you don't have it yet) and after the third item, they will agree to stay. You can only do one per day, but they don't have to be consecutive.Do you know how soon the amiibo villager will show up once the card is used?

As long as the sign on the plot doesn't say it's sold, it's still free. I think I had one villager per day move in when I built the three houses before the campsite. But even if you're too late you can just tell the amiibo to replace whichever villager you want gone.
Yeah, for those you have to wait until the villagers have moved in before you can kick them out. Not sure if it works while they're still unpacking but I assume they need to have fully settled in first. My amiibos are out for delivery, today, which is earlier than expected! I'm assuming since the two empty plots are now sold (but there is not a house there, yet), I cannot use amiibos on them?
It doesn't have to be three days in a row, just three days total. Unfortunately they only ask for one item per visit. When you say I need the amiibos to visit the campsite three times, does that mean I'll have to scan it in three days in a row? Can all the steps be completed in one day? Also, am I able to open up a new plot for them or am I only able to kick someone out for them to move in? Sorry for all the questions... I'm very new to this game. The last AC I played was City Folk and none of this type of thing went on in that game, that I can recall.

I'm pretty sure you only get the option to remove someone if you can't build any more plots and they say there aren't any houses for them. You'll then have the chance to build a new plot for them and tell them about it the same day, or if you need more time you can invite them again later. They'll remember your gifts.
Don't worry about asking for help, the game can get a little complicated at times.^^
Yes, if you haven't put the plots down yet that would be best if you don't want to deal with randoms.^^Thank you so much for the help! At this point, is it easiest for me to invite them, do the three tasks, and then I'll be prompted to make a plot for them? Vs opening up plots prior and getting random villagers and then making them move out?
Those were the tutorial plots, that's the only time you can pick up more than one villager per day from the islands. Lake is already past the forced camper when you you can buy more plots from Nook. Since you can only find one island villager per day now, if you put down more than one plot, the game gets a chance to move a random one in before you go island hopping the next day. When the plots were available to be put down, I put down all three of the first ones down at the same time. Then I went on the islands and I was able to pick the three I wanted for those plots. None of them were auto filled for me.
