When delivering presents...

Does your relationship go up with just who you're delivering for, or the person you're giving it to, or both?

I assumed it went for both. Since you receive a gift from the villager you're delivering to. If you go back to the villager that asked you to make the delivery there a chat option to say that you delivered the present. Then you go through the "how did it go?" conversation and I think that boosts their friendship level as well.

if anything i think it raises the friendship of the person you're delivering for. when they ask you to deliver something and you say yes, they give you the present and you can hear the little friendship jingle in the background. i always thought that meant friendship was being raised. but when you deliver it, you don't hear that jingle at all.. i could be wrong though :x

Oh yes I know the thing you mean. But the friendship jingle thing happened when I was talking to Isabelle today - when she mentioned about adding the dream suite to the list of PWPs. So surely it doesn't have anything to do with raising friendship? I thought it just happened when someone asked you to do something, I don't know, I've never actually given it much thought.
Part of me thinks maybe it raises the friendship for both, because the recipient is always really thankful to you for delivering it to them, but I don't know, I guess they're just being thankful to the person who sent them the present.
