I'm looking for a way to speed up grass wear around my town (to help make natural dirt paths.)

If I were to have a bunch of visitors over for a running party: would it help to wear down grass? Or does only the mayor and villagers movement cause grass wear?

Any ideas?

Awesome! Going to totally invite people over for this! Thanks for the quick reply.

Any other tricks people know for quickly wearing down the grass?

I believe skidding (making sharp turns and skidding) helps wear it down quicker. Maybe digging and kicking in holes too?

You could place paths where you want the natural path, and pull them back up once your dirt paths are done. While is doesnt actually help it wear down itself, people tend to stay in the right place more if there are paths there. Although placing and removing paths takes a lot of effort...

Don't bother trying to keep natural dirt paths until the snow goes away. ~ I had beautifully worn down paths and between the 12th and 18th of December they all completely restored themselves! It's impossible to wear them faster than the snow settles it seems. Took me about 3-4 weeks to wear the paths down originally through naturally playing. D:

I know. It's a cool mechanic, but it's annoying that my dirt paths are gone and I'll have to remake them. =_=

Yeah, it's much better than CF where the snow went away faster than normal grasswear, and makes more sense. but I'd have liked to keep my paths and don't want patterns on my floor.

Good idea, man! That's what I did to my own town. The snow ruined it, but I have bushes on either side of my paths so it's still pretty clear where the paths are intended to be. :]
