Hi, readers! As the title suggests, on a regular day how do you go around on New Leaf? I don't know why, but I'm pretty curious about this. My typical day would look like:
1) Go down to the beach and water my plants, pick up any newly bred hybrids and get rid of the unnecessary flowers. Also pick up a banana/coconut to later give to Shrunk.
2) Walk around town with my shovel, looking for the fossils, the pitfall, the money/ore rock and fake rock.
3) Head to the museum and try to donate fossils to Blathers. Go upstairs and unload my hybrids into one of the rooms. Afterwards walk around the shops, see if there is anything worth buying. Also visit Club LOL and learn a new emotion.
4) Come back from the shopping district and sell remaining fossils and fake ore/s to Retail.
5) Go around town and shake all the trees. Collect bells, furniture, bees and beehives (hopefully without getting stung!), fruit if they've grown. Sell all of these at Retail.
6) Go around town and talk to my villagers. Run errands for them etc. You know, try make the friendship between the villagers and I stronger. (Also hope someone I don't like decides it's time to leave forever.)

♥ i would walk around my town until i see all 5 villagers outside to see whether i get a ping about someone moving
then i'll walk around looking for fossil, money rock, pitfall seed and fake rock
i'll then take them to blathers and sell them off at retail (i play pretty early and the shops aren't open yet)
i'll then water all my hybrids, run some errands for my villagers and collect all my perfect peaches
when the shop is opened, i would check them out,
and get my joke from dr shrunk (i always forget to do this :c)
and that's about it for my routiney stuffs.
if i'm funding a pwp that day, then i would go beetle hunting at night c: ♥ ~♚Vickie
1) Search for ore rock, money rock and fossils.
2) Curse that no gold ores were found.
3) Go to island.
4) Curse that Grams isn't selling silver axes or furniture that isn't mermaid or cabana.
5) Go to main street. Check all shops for new items for catalogue.
6) Curse as they have nothing new for my catalogue.
7) Buy fertiliser and sapling.
8) Curse Leif for not giving me golden axe yet.
9) Get fossils assessed by Blathers.
10) Bury fertiliser, plant sapling, choose which three flower types will be watered today, as I've found watering only a few gets me more hybrids and controls the process of hybrid types which appear better than watering all the flowers in my town.
11) Sell stuff at Re-Tail.
While I'm doing all this I often talk to villagers, and sometimes I have to duck into Re-Tail as I get full early. But that's pretty much a typical day. If you want a 100% catalogue you do an awful lot of cursing after you reach 80%.
1: Check my fan mail. Open my vast amounts of letter from my adoring villagers.
2: Realise that 99% of the gifts they have sent me are (a) twicers or (b) stuff my mayor wouldn't be seen dead with.
2a: If 1% of said gifts consist of dresses or other feminine outfits, immediately dress my mayor in them because he likes dresses.
3: Head off to Retail to sell said 99% of items.
4: Talk to villagers on the way. Blindingly obey any requests they may have.
4a: Marvel at how Soliel and Cocos' houses are being joined together as one by all the flowers they keep planting. Tread carefully through aforementioned flowers.
5: Arrive at Retail and shamelessly sell 99% of gifts.
6: Reply to fan mail and send gifts where appropriate (usually fruit or sometimes ore).
7: Post letters at post office and pay off loan.
It depends on the real life day and which town I'm playing (I have four)
As a standard in every town I have:
1. Walk around for a ping
2. Water flowers
3. Find fossils if applicable (my main town has all the fossils donated)
4. Go get fossils check/donated and sell excess
5. Check shops for furniture/clothing I'm looking for. Buy all bush starts and tree saplings from Lief
6. Talk to villagers so they don't miss me.
Then for any given town if I have time I'll do some decorating either outside or in houses. Landscaping and whatnot. In my new town I catch bugs I haven't caught before and sometimes go fishing to try and get the museum filled. I have two 3DS systems so sometimes I swap stuff between all my towns particularly from my main town to my newer towns.
1. Clean up town/ remove any unwanted normal flowers/ water flowers
2. Talk to all my villagers
3. Shop
4. Go to either the private island or international island to catch stuff and item hunt
5. Go to the dream suite and update my dream address and visit a bunch of dream towns
And somewhere in there is going to visit Brewster for my daily cup of coffee
My typical day in new leaf is like:
1.Check the stores, for any items of clothing or house wise as I need to complete my house exterior, so i'm on the look out for that as well as the sooner I get this done, I won't have to do it later as I don't have the night owl ordinance on.
2. Landscape a bit, plant trees, bushes.
3. Talk to my animals, see if there's any moving rumors try to get some pings/PWPS.
4. When I get a PWP, I usually save and end the game and then repeat the process, as i'm currently trying to landscape my town.
Check the mail.
Hit the rocks as I circle the town while waiting for a ping. Once I get one I check all villager outside and do their request. Talk to Yuka if she outside so she can yell at me for wearing the same heart pin. She's jealous because Miss Lolly sent it to me in the mail.
Also check anyone inside. Than I check retail for turnip and premium items.
If I get an early ping the mayor quits so a side player can play. She checks the island for items and than talks to the villagers.
Than I open my 2nd town for the mayor. She opens the gates for the side player so they can both get a number towards their badge. 2nd town mayor repeats until she gets rumor talk. Than she lets the side player take over to tan on the island and catch bug/fish for her amount badge. Comes back to talk to the villagers and complete all the villagers requests.
Than she drops by my other towns to weeds for her badge.
During the night I tag both 3DS for the mayors streetpass badges.
1. Wake up, and check the mailbox if there's any mail in it.
2. Dig up all the bamboo behind and around my house, stack it in baskets, throw it in the massive bamboo pile, and pray that the darn stuff doesn't spread even more
3. Go to the T&T Emporium and buyout all the gardening supplies, check to see if there's anything not in my catalog, and if it isn't, buy it, and then if I have extra dosh I'll buyout the Gracie department for later resale
4. Go bring some fruit to Dr. Shrunk and get a new emoji
5. Go around and collect any extra orderables I may have bought to catalog or if they're lying in my town to either Re-Tail and sell them, or near my gate so visitors can have some freebies
6. If I have a large enough pile of unidentified fossils, I'll go identify them and either sell them or plop them in the giveaway area near my gate
7. Now that my main chores are done, if I have time, I'll do one of a few things: ...A: Switch over to an alt character and decorate their house/pay off their home loan, and TT so I can unlock some more rooms. Once I'm done I'll begin decorating and I'll switch back and forth between characters so I can find the right things I need ...B: Continue on the difficult job of planning my town and landscaping. This includes laying piles of junk to represent what goes where, finding and getting patterns, organizing piles of misc. items to use as outdoor decor, TT-ing and force breeding hybrids, and moving and finding gardening supplies to use ...C: Go to CT and earn some IGB or collect pitfalls and set up elaborate island traps, or giveaway bells if I'm super bored
Hmm my usual every day routines consist of checking the mail, sending letters to villagers when I have the chance and time to, then organize my town more, talk to every villager a couples time-do tasks for them, go snoop around each store to see what's new ,and check out each villager's houses. But yeah right now I'm in the process of making vilalgers houses matching according to themes. Sometimes I go and visit the island to make a few bells here and there, also fishing around town for the museum bug and fish displays. I don't do much on my game as I did when I first started the game in fall, but there always seems to be something fun to do or work on to perfect it
I water the flowers and walk in eyesight of all the villagers I don't need to see what's up... but the majority I like so I talk to each one whether they are indoors or out and do what they say except for later time house meetups . I smash all the rocks with the shovel looking for the money (or the ore that you sell for the money). Put the money into pwp's, and sometimes loan repayment. If it's nighttime I go see KK, and if it's a tourney Saturday I always compete (like today's 'find the crucian carps').
Check mailbox, if there's any mail that day.
Start digging up bamboo shoots out of the ground in Vista and Moonview. Moonview has a lot more than Vista.
Start walking around town
Talking to villagers in their house, to find out who might be trying to move away.
Go to T&T Emporium and buy things for landscaping and sometimes check GracieGrace to see what's new there. usually nothing..
Do some landscaping or try to make an area look better or re-deocrate my house.
See if my villagers want me to do a task for them.
And in Moonview and Chocolat, trying to complete my museums.
- Check mail
- Dig up fossils, look for money rock, look for fake rock
- Check fossils
- Check shops for anything I want to buy
- Sell fossils to Re-Tail
- Talk to all my villagers
- Pick up and sell all my seashells
- Dig up and sell all my bamboo shoots
- Pay off loan and/or PWP
If I have more time to waste, I'll fish a little bit, go to the cafe for coffee and work, and do tasks for my villagers!
Hmm..
- check mail, water flowers, look for fossils then fish+bug hunt till 8:00
- chat to villagers + do some errands
- check shops, sell the night before's fish and bugs, do some landscaping
- pwp glitch a bit, always short of pwps tbh
- collect all fruit/bamboo/seashells/red turnips that are around and about
- go to someone's town
- the island games for a bit, do a few tours and club tortimer
- bug hunt and fish on the island
- pay off pwps and loan a bit more

I don't really do a lot of things in my town. Here is what I do.
1. walk around and see if any villagers are moving or any villager willing to give me a PWP to work on.
2. shake all of the trees.
3. go fishing.
4. go bug hunting.
5. buy everything from the shop.
6. watch K.K. do his music.
7. get some medels from the island and maybe go on CT.
8. look for the money rock.
Note: I don't do all of it every day..
