what's your opinion on spoilers?

I don't really like being spoiled. Admittedly, I tend to get myself spoiled by getting overly curious or just not being careful enough, but I hate when people neglect to put spoils on things, especially when the thread has nothing to do with what they just spoiled.

It's not even that hard to stick in a spoiler warning. People who spoil things are just lazy and inconsiderate.

I really don't care at all. I usually read the whole plot for something before i read/watch a series though.

i try my best to avoid them because knowing too much before hand super impacts my motivation to continue especially if i'm... shamelessly binge watching something or reading a book, but with video games i'm a little more lenient depending on the genre, especially with something like fallout. i wouldn't yell, but i'll give my best big sad sparkly girl doe eyes to whoever spoiled me. but seriously, i usually make myself get over it and continue on, because i still very much like watching things build up to that point

I don't mind it, seeing as it's really rare for me to be surprised by how a story progresses. If the spoiler is really fascinating, then I might continue with it. If it's really stupid, I'd thank the person for warning me ahead of time instead of feeling frustrated by how incapable characters of fiction are.

It's more like a warning of whether I should invest my time in something.

Before I get into something, looking at spoilers won't hurt. I hate surprises, so spoilers are okay. If I don't like what happens, then it's better for me not to follow the series/game. I won't waste my time on something that would upset me in the end. I look for spoilers in the games in case that I don't know what to do next, or I should continue if the game will reward me. If it's a series that don't release the latest episodes quickly, I look for spoilers because I'm lazy to watch something unless if the spoilers say something about the new episode that caught my attention.

People that blurt out spoilers repetitively without any warnings are very annoying, though.

I don't like it when other people spoil movies, shows, game outcomes, etc to me when I don't ask. Occassionally I do ask. I also sometimes spoil myself... ty wiki

I had to teach myself not to care because I used to be on tumblr constantly, and even using the special blocker to hide things tagged spoiler did not help one bit. For the most part even knowing things that would happen if they were bad I would just pretend there weren't going to happen? IDK, it's weird. Like major deaths in shows I watched that I found out about I would just convince myself "hey, maybe it wont happen when I watch it!" It makes no sense at all but I learned to cope since there was no possible way to hide myself, especially when there are a lot of shows I intend to watch but are several episodes if not season in. Like, someday I hope to watch Breaking Bad, but I know just about all of the major plot points/quotes because the internet is a cruel mistress full of fans.

I HATE spoilers. A kid in my math class spoiled The Outsiders for me and I was so angry.

I also don't even like to read theories on TV shows I watch, because sometimes they end up being right, and I want to be 100% surprised whenever I watch a new episode.

I generally don't mind being spoiled about shows if I'm not really following up on it. If it's something I am following, I'll avoid the tumblr tags or any sites related to it until after the episode airs. Spoilers are bound to show up wherever you go and it's unrealistic to expect everyone to tag spoilers. If I accidentally get spoiled on something, then it's not a big deal to me. Or if others want to discuss the latest episode, I guess it's polite to ask the person if they've seen the episode yet and go from there.

I prefer to not be spoiled, but if I am it generally doesn't ruin things for me. Probably a good thing, since the internet seems to spoil something for most video games for me. :/

As long as I'd probably never get to play the game, video game spoilers aren't too bad.

In fact, spoilers about a character's death can give you more feels if it's a character you care about because you know they're gonna die and there's nothing you can do about it. I know this becauseof... a certain game. I won't say which one because... well, that would be spoiling it.

I don't watch TV/movies so I wouldn't get mad for being spoiled or go out of my way to find spoilers or amything.

I do not like them. I can understand the hype because I like to talk about something the very minute it comes out too but if you know there are people who have not seen that something yet then just tag it with spoilers or warn people, or don't post at all till a few hours..

I hate knowing what will happen when I watch something, it ruins the whole experience for me.

depends a little on the spoiler. some of them may ruin the experience a bit, while others can function as an inspiration for me to keep watching. but no matter the spoiler, i get over them pretty quickly. it's not that big a deal to me. i try my best not to spoil for others, though, as that's just common decency.

For stuff I'm really into, I'll stay away from spoilers. Though if I do come across one it's not the end of the world for me. The experience isn't ruined for me.

So I'd rather not come across them, but if I do happen to read a spoiler I won't freak out about it. Especially if it's for a TV show/series/etc that I'm not as invested in.

I try to avoid spoilers but sometimes I just give in and look up what happens. I hate when I give in because it kind of ruins the experience of seeing what happens yourself.

especially people who feel the need to spoil the whole season on the the ep1 page.

i like spoilers most of the time, especially if im watching a kdrama LOL. idk i would be looking forward to events that i know is going to happen instead of dropping it.

i also spoil myself very often when im reading books. x-x
it ruins the surprise part i guess, but i like to skip through things, go back to read what i missed, and reread the parts that i enjoyed. xD
