After seeing the Museum Exhibit thread on more or less the same thing, I'm really curious as to how you all organize and decorate your homes!!

Do you pay mind to exteriors much? What about your interior rooms? I've seen cafes, hospitals, theaters, B&Bs, stores, librarys, classrooms, etc. What do you do with the layout?

Mine depend on the character mostly. I love coming up with back stories and such. My town is supposed to be forest themed so I'm getting wood and brick exteriors. My Mayor's house is going to function like a normal home I just have to figure which set I want to do the living room. Before I reset I had the blue polka dot set but I'm not sure if I want that anymore. She'll have a living room as the main room, to the right will be the kitchen with alpine set in it. The left a small bathroom and in the back her like at home mayors office.

Gaspard is going to have a backyard themed room. His bedroom will be sloppy series. He was a retired firefighter last time but I think I'll change him to being a writer.

Ms.Usagi- I blame Peppa Pig for this one. I'm basing off of Miss.Rabbit who basically has every single job in town in the show. She runs a store along with a car dealership. Teaches at a school. I'm thinking about adding an restaurant and an library. For the basement might be a nightclub? IDK yet.

The only person who has a somewhat completed room is Ms.Usagi

My house has a princess set room as my main room, a sweets kitchen, a mermaid bathroom and a villager shrine lol with the picture. The bedroom is Sanrio furniture and the basement is an arcade with sleek furniture.

The second house is is a hotel and third house is a 711 store.

My new leaf house is so boring on the main level. My living room is the ice set. Another room is the gorgeous set, one is althe sloppy set, and the other is a gold room. My upstairs was the only fun room because I just put anything creepy or weird in it. I have like 30 villager photos set out like a weird shrine too. I’m trying to be a better designer now in NH.

I never got a great main room design, it ended up being like a waiting room type of thing. But the left room was decorated like a grandma's house with a bunch of old things and dollhouses/dolls, etc. I really liked that one because it felt cozy and really different.

The right room was like an office, and I put bookshelves in the middle of the room to section it off and have like a little secret back area.

Either the upstairs or the back room was my bedroom, full of all the Alpine furniture. Then the basement was all of the princess things, which I always enjoyed. I can't remember for the life of me what the last room was, it's been so long since I played!

I have rooms with the rococo, blue, elegant and mermaid/ice sets. I think I've shoved a bunch of the fortune cookie mario items in the back room and then the top floor is like a little home office

my bedroom has the mermaid theme rn!! i’m trying to get all the furniture items from the lovely set though!

My home is themed as a Zen Castle on the outside since I have an eco-friendly town with Zen influences but the inside of my own home is decorated the way I can be comfortable in.

My main room is a living room. A place I sometimes sit for hours just chit-chatting with friends. Took me awhile to decide what to make of it because I wanted to take advantage of the Feng Shui influences in game and since I love tea and some of Japan's culture, it became a makeshift tea room.

The room at the back is my backyard and located in a bamboo grove. I have a picnic area, an outdoor bath and a basketball area (since I love the sport). Although you can't interact with those furnitures, it's still soothing for me to be in an environment with things I enjoy doing.

I have a sorta Chinese kitchen on the right room to remind of my half Chinese heritage. I missed the times when the extended family would have meals on a Lazy Susan table (I like how you can spin the one in game too!) and the smell of claypot and oyster sauce filled the air. It's still missing four imperial chairs to go with the table tho (have to find time to acquire them).

The room on the left will be a library and guest room but it's empty at the moment. Sorry to dissappoint.

The basement is my entertainment, laundry and bathroom. Didn't know you could watch Nat Geo on the TV in ACNL! The bed is there when I get sleepy and take a nap while waiting on the laundry (like in real life).

Since I am only able to share a max of 10 pics per post. I will share images of my bedroom after someone else makes another post
:)

I have a second character named Office and the house is going to be an office building. The 2nd floor will be my personal office, the main room will be a lobby with a lounge area and a cafe, the room at the back is a hybrid garden with hybrid flowers, the room on the right will be a garage and the room on the left will contain a 7-11 minimart, and the basement will be an arcade and entertainment zone.

Since we are already friends on Nintendo, you can always feel free to come visit when everything is completed, just drop me a conversation :)

As mentioned, I will share images of my bedroom after someone else makes another post

I have a simple cabana-themed room. Have a star-gazing spot. As you might guess, I love pets and got all the dog ornaments (thank you for the daschmund @lyradelphie04!) and since the game does not have any cat ornaments (wonder why), I customed one armchair to contain a black American Shorthair cat (similar to my cat in real life).

Note that I am missing a cabana vanity hence there is an empty spot next to my safe (with a lucky clover displayed on top).

Hope everyone enjoyed my humble home in Animal Crossing New Leaf :)

All of my houses and rooms in Sakura are Asian themed. My mayor's house is intended to be more upscale and used for entertaining while my alt's house is that of a simple farmer.

I don't have a good picture of my alt's exterior on my computer, but he has a small 3 room farmhouse with the earthen exterior and bamboo fence.

I am still working on my mayor's house in Nocturne, but it is going to be Victorian with a lot of blacks and purple. I will definitely be using the rococo furniture refurbished in gothic black, classic furniture and maybe some pieces from the gorgeous series. The main room will be a sitting room, the back room will be a study/library, the left room will be a Victorian bath, the right room will be a small child's bedroom, and upstairs will be my character's bedroom. The basement will be a hidden alchemy lab where the main character is desperately trying to resurrect her lost loved ones.

There will be a second house in Nocturne that is more of a public house, still following the Victorian theme but with a lot more blue and white. The main room will be a gallery for sculptures, the back room will be a lounge area with the gorgeous series and a fireplace, the left room will be a fancy spa room, the right room will be a music room. It will be kind of low-key, but the main floor rooms represent the four elements of earth, fire, water and air. I'm still working out the upstairs but I'm thinking of some kind of fancy office with the suits of armor and things like that. The basement will be that character's bedroom.

My themes are cafe, space, a japanese dining room, bathroom, bedroom, ect, sooo very boring basically

My main room is a harmonious, Japanese theme, the basement has the mermaid set from the island, upstairs is an arcade, room on the left has the gorgeous set from Gracie, room on the right is just what I'd like my bedroom to look like (lots of grey tones, plants and pretty messy with kk albums dotted around the walls) and finally, the back room is a kitchen !

I tried to make mine as realistic as possible - a bedroom, living room, bathroom, laundry room etc.

I'm getting graded on the fairy tale theme right now so I have the Lovely Set in my main room (which just happens to be my favourite set), then the Princess set in my right room, Regal in my left and Rococo upstairs with a few random little fairy tale items strewn into all of the rooms. In my basement is all the things that aren't Fairy Tale that I own but want to keep but oh my gosh is it a massive mess down there oops👀 but after I max out my points in Fairy Tale I'm thinking of making a realistic house with a bedroom and everything

I have a castle and am trying to make the inside look like a palace (regal, rococo, lovely, princess, etc)
