I was making a kitchen/restaurant yesterday and I got so hungry looking at all the food items. They're so small and detailed and they look like they'd be so delicious to eat! I'm curious to know what everyone's favourite food furniture item or customised version is and why.
Mine are:
-kiddie meal with original customisation (looks so small and childlike!)
-tart with apple customisation (reminds me of the one my grandmother makes)
-bread basket (the bread looks so crunchy and fluffy!)
-cupcake with any customisation (reminds me of my childhood and looks so sweet to eat!)
-glass teapot with any customisation (I bet it would be so soothing to drink!)
Pompompurin pudding is my favourite
Berliner, cup of tea, fish on board, hearty breakfast, shaved ice, steamed lobster and sushi tray is close enough. I really am thankful for amiibo update for bringing so many food items. Irl i’m not actually a foodie but in games like this i just love how they look. I also like to watch mini cooking videos which is also related I guess
I like a lot of the small food items that were in New Leaf, but the watermelon table and chair, as well as the pear wardrobe and dresser are probably my favourites because I had them back in Wild World, so they're super nostalgic for me. I remember using one room in my house as the kitchen/dining room, and I couldn't find a fridge so I used the pear wardrobe instead, lol. I was like 8/9ish at the time and was thinking that since it was food-themed, having a wardrobe instead of, well, an actual fridge was good enough for me
I know they aren't small food items, but tbh I don't remember a lot of the ones that were in New Leaf and Happy Home Designer, I just remember thinking a lot of them were cool because they could be used to make a house/room feel more 'lived-in', I guess.
To knock it down, afternoon-tea set, berliner, birthday cake, yule log, veggie basket are very up there for me.
I love the look of the pastries a bunch, then the others are very nice for decoration.
As others have said, I love the look of the various tea sets--I have a lot of antique furniture items in my main house anyways, so it lets me imagine that my mayor is both unpretentious and effortlessly cultured. I like the berliner (it has powder-sugar dusting!) and the rice balls too (because it looks more like something I would have for lunch in my own life). But I'd have to say I like the coffee items the best, because coffee is 80% of my day now--waking up and having coffee, having coffee in the evening, making coffee in my stovetop espresso maker, that's pretty much what I live for these days until I get back to work (then I'll just be having my morning and weekend coffees, lol). So the coffee cup and cream & sugar from the Cafe set, and also the little takeout cups you get from Brewster, those are my absolute favorites~
i used to have a wishlist somewhere but off the top of my head i recall really liking the bread basket, glass teapot (so dainty!!), cup of tea, tart, and pompompurin pudding (so pretty aaah)! Also not really food items but i really like the sweets player and the sweets sofa!! The donut cushions and marshmallow chairs (esp customized to look toasted) are really cute too <3
I don’t know if this counts, but I liked the Gracie’s Sweet set in acnl and I would use the furniture to make a sweets themed kitchen. I also liked the donut cushion and the afternoon tea set. There’s more, but I can’t think the rest.
I don't use a lot of food items for decorating so I guess it would just be the tea sets, either fancy or zen, depending on my theme. The glass teapot and silver teapot also look really nice.
For actual food rather than tea, I think the cupcake cutomized to look like a panda is adorable. I just have nowhere to put it because it doesn't match any of my rooms.
