What’s your favourite clothing item/accessory in New Horizons? 🛍️

I know there’s a lot of players that prefer to just use/mostly use custom designs when dressing up their characters (myself included), but I’m curious to know what everyone’s favourite in-game clothing item and/or accessory is, whether you wear it often or not!

For me, my favourite is the Do-rags, followed by the Plain Do-rags! My favourite variants being the pink and beige Do-rags, and the red Plain Do-rag. I never have my character without some sort of hat on, mainly because I hate how much her ears stick out with most hairstyles LOL, and a do-rag is my go-to that I pair with all of her outfits!

Some of my other favourites are the Fairy Dresses, pink Fleece Pjs, Clover Dresses, Black Chic Tuxedo Dress, Mom’s Handmade Aprons, Tam-o’-shanters, and Mom’s Knapsacks!

I think my favorite is the little leaf you wear on your face. The one that sticks out of your mouth. I used to wear it all the time in New Leaf and Pocket Camp. It reminds me of that little sapling tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He's so cute...

My favorite accessory is the browline glasses, specifically the black variant. I don't wear glasses IRL, but I always liked how my character looked with them. Honorable mentions go to the letter jacket (blue), waistcoat (black), chain pants (black), checkered jumper dress (beige), recycled boots, space boots and star pochette.

I really like the black mountain parka. It’s basic and minimal but that’s what I like. In prior games, my favorite item was the blue aloha tee. The design unfortunately got changed in New Horizons and I no longer like it.

There a lot of cute clothing item accessories present in this game, but I really adore the bun wig, it always has been an iconic item for my island representative, Hayley, to wear almost all the time in both New Leaf, and New Horizons, it gives her more character and personality.

My favorite accessory is the browline glasses, specifically the black variant.

It's funny you say that, my outfit changes all the time, but the browline glasses always stay. This isn't my best outfit, but it's what I am currently wearing.

I do wear glasses in real life, and I wish they looked as good on me as they do in AC.

Can I just say the pochettes? I love about 80% of all available ones with my most favorite being the Nook Inc. Pochette, you’ll be seeing that one in most of the fan art requests of my rep.
I of course also change the pochettes up when I feel like it, and of course when it’s a seasonal thing I change the pochette to match the current season.

I also happen to like the Outdoor Sandals, the orange one at best. (I don’t wear socks with them) The ones in New Leaf were my upmost favorite and I know they aren’t in New Horizons, so I picked the sandals that I thought were close enough to the New Leaf ones. I wear them in every season except Winter, that’s when I am barefoot until spring when I put them on again. (Don’t judge me…)

I like the dreamy unicorn bag the most, along with the hair clips.

I've given pretty much all of my guys flower hair clips of all kinds and they all wear them, esspecially the crankies. Chief is always wearing one. I like how their kinda like an unexpected gender neutral item, that both the guys and girls like

I like the bag because I have a frog bag that looks similar to it, so it's like me and Kobe have the same thing. Which is kinda a cheesy reason, but also cute in my opinion lol.

The fake nose, or clown nose

The black chesterfield coat is a favourite during colder months. I like the Hawaiian Nook shirt that Tom wears during warmer months. The purple meme shirt with the cat is nice, too.

There's a lack of formal or semi-formal wear at the tailor shop so I'm sticking to custom designs.

I also like the star and snowflake pochettes, the smaller ribbons, the windflowers, and any of those shades glasses.

But based on how often I use certain clothing items, the denim skirt (light blue and dark blue) and business shoes are at the top of the list, despite being basic. I don’t like most of the shoes in ACNH, and the skirt can be paired with any sweater or shirt. I’m more into the basic stuff than something more fancy.

Another thing I used commonly are flowers as headwear. The flowers in the hair is a relic from the ACNL era where I used the four-leaf clover as a fashion item rather than a good luck charm.
