Honestly I wouldn't mind jocks all that much if they didn't talk about their muscles all the time. I like it when they talk about sports tho

I used to love snooties but they seem to be heavily toned down in this game... I think they are the most bland and generic personality in the game next to normal and smug, I still hope they get better once your friendship with them increases since I haven't had one for long on my island yet.

Still loving crankies even though they were toned down as well. I don't mind jocks actually.

It would be cranky, but its not the same compared to the other games because it bothers me when they call themselves old, but I find some not that old, but I still like them.
I also like the normal and lazy personality in acnh.

Wait, the lazies don't talk about bugs at all in Japanese? Are you serious? Now I wish I knew Japanese just so I could play ACNH in it lol, I don't know who thought all the constant bug talk was a good idea... But yeah I love the peppies and I'm glad to see appreciation for them! It seems some people find them obnoxious and over the top but I always find them really fun to talk to, and when I didn't have a peppy in NH for a little while I really missed the peppy dialogue. Now I'm so glad I got Peanut to move in.

Yes! I actually originally switched the game to Japanese primarily to see whether the lazies were still obsessed with imaginary bugs, since it weirds me out so much and it was making me actually kind of hate poor Cranston. I was so happy to see how different their dialogue is! For example, in the English versions, lazies will sometimes say something about the bugs in the walls whispering a new DIY recipe to them during the night. But in the Japanese version, the lazies just say that the recipe came to them in a dream.

I really have no idea why the localizers added the bug obsession in the English version. It makes me wonder, do the lazies talk about bugs in other languages like Russian, Spanish, French, Chinese, etc?

And I'm glad to see someone else who likes peppies! They make me laugh so much, especially when they have conversations with other villagers.

I started to really like the peppy villagers in NH, followed by the cranky and lazy villagers.

Cranky right now. I like how Cranky and Uchi villagers can fight like an old married couple.

I think that all villager types have their positives.

In this game crankies for sure. Previously I would have said normals but they're so watered down in this game and they hardly ever say anything interesting. I still love them but crankies have definitely moved up for me.

I'm such a sucker for smug villagers. I mean, I literally have three of them as my dreamies. They're the most entertaining villagers to me! I also have a soft spot for the lazy and normal villagers. Jocks I grew tired of in NL, and uchi villagers have been mostly meh for me sadly.

In this game, snooty and cranky. I don't know what they did to peppys this time around, but the pop star thing is really jarring.
