What's wrong with this spot? (plotting)

Hi there, I can't seem to get my last villager to move into the spot that I need it too, in fact they keep moving onto qrs. I know they can't do that unless there are no suitable spots for them to move into.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong with the spot that's in my little urban area and how to fix it? (even ideas on how to arrange the houses) Thank you!

I haven’t looked at your DA yet, but I’m assuming it might be because of any of these things: too close to a rock, pond, river, PWP, another villager house, a character’s house, etc. I’ll go ahead and check right now if it’s visible to see in your DA. c:

Okay, I just checked your DA. Nothing is wrong with your desired placement (since a lot of your neighbors are around the same spot as well).

I personally would QR plot ALL over your town. I found that when I do that, it leaves no room for a villager to go except for the blank space I’ve left for them. Maybe because there are other plots with and without QR codes, it still makes the game generate your neighbor onto it? I’m not too sure how it works exactly, but I do know about the not being able to house plot on QR codes.

That’s the only explanation I can give for maybe why it’s happening, so see if my suggestion helps/works.

I had this problem moving in my last villager. I was beginning to lose all hope after about the 10th time she wasn't in the spot I wanted! More QR codes was the solution for me so I hope it helps you, too. Just go throughout your time and put a bunch of patterns on the ground EVERYWHERE lol.
Nan started plotting on top of the more sparse QR codes until I put down like 6-10 squares, then she stopped. I was shocked that she was even able to plot on top of patterns even though I had a wide open space ready for her xD

I just put qrs were merry is now, last night, I made sure it was covered, that's why I'm so baffled.

I know, it sucks :|. Especially since you have a really nice mix of QR codes, flowers, and natural ground; the good thing is that you can just erase them once you get her in. Good luck!

I didn't think of this the first time I went through the process lol but it felt SO GOOD getting ride of all the excess patterns they were totally ruining my town :'o

They can move onto patterns even if you've left previously lived-on 3x3 (plus door) spaces.

It's happened to me many times.
