Mayor Todd
Highly Aware Floaty Thing
I made up a back story for my town, and I try to follow it as much as I can when I'm adding PWPs. My town is a modern village built on the site of an ancient hot springs. The town center is surrounded by geysers and hot springs to this day. The ancients built stone monuments to honor the spirits of the hot springs (Stonehenge, stone tablets, different fountains) that are still a part of the town. The current residents have added contemporary touches (concrete sidewalks, Modern stone sculptures, modern streetlights, a slingshot range), and modern style civic buildings (town hall, train station, mayor's residence.) The town gets its electricity from underground geothermal generators which are maintained by the Resetti brothers under the town center. The mayor's residence is not only the mayor's home, but also hosts an exercise room, restaurant/convenience store, periodical and internet library, and a crisis response center. I'm still working on the restaurant/convenience store. The town also has a main library located on the western cliffs (player character's house), and a tribute to Disneyland in the central part of town (another player character's house.) I wanted a town with ancient stone PWPs and modern style buildings, and the back story is how I justify the conflicting features.
