✪ What's the theme of your town? ✪

I've tried making my town theme based, but as of right now it's just whatever I think looks nice xD
but I guess you could say my town has a pretty pink cutesy theme to it

same here, my town is just whatever atm and it's really pink and cutesy ;w; though I love it and i'm happy with it

Ooh, I love themed towns, whether it's a very specific theme or a theme like forest, fairytale, etc.!

My second town is themed after the movie "Labyrinth." The left side of the town is happy and fairy-tale themed, and the right side is the labyrinth itself, which is made of bushes with lots of dead trees and topiaries. The bridge that connects the two halves is the Bog of Eternal Stench, and the paths are stepping stones (on the left) and the labyrinth tiles with moss and cracks (on the right). I designed a bunch of standees to look like some of the characters from the movie. Of course, the human residents and their homes are entirely Labyrinth-themed. The villagers are a mix of original neighbors and some that I adopted from Tumblr. The only villager who I sought out for the theme is Shep.

My main town, Ruddyoak, is partly Lord of the Rings themed--the town and my mayor, Athelwyn, were characters in a very old LoTR computer game by Interplay. My secondary characters are LoTR themed, as are their houses. Athelwyn is "me," so I decorated her house the way I wanted to, but made the basement into a tribute to Tolkien. The paths, town tune, and PWPs are not LoTR themed, but all go along with the reddish (ruddy) forest feel. I'm about to overhaul the town to be the same but better, so I don't have a DA yet. The villagers in Ruddyoak are just ones that I really wanted to have--no theme there.

My third town is almost ready to be revealed, and it is entirely themed after the first four seasons of a certain TV show. All of the villagers go along with the theme in some way. I'll post about it when it's ready. :p

OH! I loved that movie! i'm definitely gonna dream of your town!

OH! I loved that movie! i'm definitely gonna dream of your town! ꒰◍ᐡᐤᐡ◍꒱

right side of my town is zen and left is modern.

That's really interesting! Any particular reason why?

My completed town is very much fairy tale themed. Its mainly pink and pastel paths with all the fairy tale PWP's. There are pink and white flowers everywhere.

My second town I'm still working on is forest themed. But I've made it more like a pretty garden and landscaped most of it. I still have one path so people don't get lost, but I've kept it simple with mostly trees and flowers.

Oooh and Sorbet is such a perfect name for a town like that! ꒰◍?ᴗ?◍꒱

My town is winter themed, and it's still under construction (It's taken me this long to figure out a theme)
My goal is blue roses in literally every empty spot so it feels like my town is 'flooded', with paths of white roses and occasional empty spots which will be dead spots (grass dead from running, perfect fruit trees without the leaves when they die, black hybrids to represent dead flowers, and gravestone-looking pwps)
I'll also have little circles of alternating bamboo and bushes with little hidden items inside, so people who dream my town have to dig bushes/chop bamboo to see what's buried there! (It's a pain to make though)
And my houses will all be elemental themed, with each room a different element: earth, fire, water, air, light, and dark. And each house would have its landscaping made to fit one element, i.e. mayor's is earth, secondary water, etc.

When it's done it'll be a definite dream-town.

My first town has only blue, gold, and white roses (mainly). I guess that could be considered the theme. For my 2nd town, I'm planning to make it a city/country themed town.

For New York I don't have a real theme. It's more of an 'oh this looks pretty' kind of thing. All the player houses have a different theme in each room instead of having each house be a single theme. No two rooms are alike though, so it makes them kind of unique. You don't know what's going to be in the next room so it's kind of fun. I just pick villagers I like to move in.

For Basil I'm doing a cat town. Each of the three player's houses have a single theme each. My mayor's house is a cat cafe, one player is a spa and entertainment place (of course decorated with cat pictures), and the third house I'm still kind of deciding on. Right now it has kind of an Asian theme, but I think I should possibly change it to an Egyptian theme to better suit the whole cat theme, since Egypt's history shows their devotion to cats. I don't know though. That town is still a work in progress.

My Town is a Japanese/ Zen theme, I really like how it's coming along, it's been a work in progress since I started on the release date, hopefully I can get it exactly how I want it to look soon.

Right now, I have an autumn forest theme going on. When it becomes winter, I think I'm goinyou mix things up witg to scrap all of the red/orange/yellow flowers and replace them with white roses and carnations. I haven't planned as far ahead as spring, though. We'll see~

It's so cool that you mix things up with the seasons.. I wish I had your dedication! ꒰ *๑?ૅʖ̫?́๑꒱

I know people will hate me for this, but my town has a Japanese theme.

Oh no, darling~ AC is all about making your town what you want it to be! ٩꒰๑ ?∇`๑꒱۶

Yea I'm pretty obsessive with having my towns follow a theme, I just can't do anything random ;_;

Blushe has a forest fairy theme so I tried to make it an even blend of fairytale and woodsy because obviously it's supposed to look like a forest inhabited by fairies. X3 Cherry blossoms are in bloom and most of my villagers are forest animals or just magical looking like Julian. I'm also trying to add a lot of illuminated PWPs.

For Moonfall it is also a forest town but it's set in Autumn and I guess you could say it's your typical forest town with lots of cedars and sweet-olives. All my villagers are natural colors and I tried to go for mostly brown and orange villagers.

Whenever I restart my third town I'm wanting to make a water town where it will be raining with lots of fountains, geysers, and lots of water QR codes. I am pretty excited to start this considering I haven't seen anyone with a town theme exactly like this, so I'm looking forward to creating it from extremely original ideas. It will have mostly octupi, frogs, ducks; really any villager type that likes water. ^_^

OOHHHHH, Blushe sounds ethereal, Blondie~ You're like my ACNL sempai ꒰?꒳`∗꒱

So, I don't have one right now because my town is so new, but I do want to have one eventually. I really like natural looking towns, but trying to debate whether I want a more "European" town (ex. with the windmill and tulips and lots of cedars) or a "Japanese" town (ex. the zen bridges and PWPs...I think this idea would look really nice in April with the cherry blossoms).

I don't like yellow or red flowers, so I prefer whites, blues and purples. I think those could work in both, but that limits the tulips I can use because there are no blue or purple tulips (right?)!

Also, I am still not sure if I will use patterns for pathways. I don't really have the patience for it but it might help my town be more "themed"...I guess I have all the time in the world to decide and it's not like I can't change it if I change my mind :>

My town's themed around the TW show Parks and Recreation :p My villagers and their phrases are all meant to represent some of the characters from the show, and it's all designed a bit like a park. I'll post a DA one day, but it's still not finished.

It somehow ended up a bit fairytale-themed, too, but that was mostly an accident.

I love Parks and Rec! I'd love to visit your town sometime!

OOOH, when you finish! I'd love your dream address! Lucanosa sounds lovely! ꒰๑ ᷄ω ᷅꒱

my town has no definite theme, it's just what i found looked nice to me. it's no where near finished, but i really like it so far.
the only theme i have is my flowers are only certain colors. blue, white, pink, and purple. :')

my houses are a mess and i never did those themed houses so usually when ppl visit my DA they tell me how my houses have no themes and that different set rooms clash with others. but if you really wanna take a look at my town, my DA is in my sig. :')

I wanted a mexican themed town, but I ended with a japanese themed town, just because there is no any mexican themed PWP, and I like more the japanese PWPs. However my villagers don't match, with the japanese theme, only Marcel, but I'm thinking in replace him with Drago. My town will be kinda asian themed.

my town... doesn't really have a theme.
however, it is the sort of successor to my City Folk town. :v
umm, that's about it.
I dunno, I'm too lazy to keep up a certain theme of any kind tbh.

Tenshi: Fairy-tale and cute with an Asian influence.

Starpass: Astronomy and modern themed town with many tourist attractions.

Both have dream addresses, though Tenshi is complete while Starpass is still a WIP, which is why I only have Tenshi's DA in my signature so far.

I should really add some more zen benches and a Japanese bell or something.

Oh, an astronomy themed town! That sounds so cool! Will you please post your DA once you feel comfortable sharing? I would like to see it! :>

Ooooh, those flower colors sound lovely! I'll definitely give it a visit~ (I didn't really know that character house had to have themes, mine are just based on the personalities of my two characters Adeline and Louisoix)
