What's the most useless/ugly item?

The bilboquet (seriously, it's giant, ugly, and useless), the Kiddie series, Balloon series (except for the balloon dog lamp, which I quite like), and Mario items.

I dislike the Polka-dot series except for the few instances in which I've seen someone combine just the right color Polka-dot sofa with nice custom pillows.

The mermaid furniture looks so nice by itself on the island! Which is why I bought half of the set, but when I started to place it all in my home it looked revolting and it hurt my eyes. This also happened with the sweets set, it really just doesn't go well together.

And the jomon pottery. I've seen this in the emporium and I was so confused as to why its even in the game because its hideous and large.

90% of the clothes are ugly, the spooky set, lovely set, the card set, sweet set, the green shamrock hat and probably a lot more that i cant remember.

I've never really been a fan of most of the mario items you get from the fortune cookies, especially the ones with the fireballs swinging around. It really doesn't look good in any room, in my opinion. The totem poles are also pretty ugly.

Seconded!

kiddie set is so ugly!!!!
the only way i can use it at all is if i customize every piece to look more pastel and even then i wouldnt have it in my house - i gifted a bunch of the custom pieces to stitches one time because the colors were so garish.

ahahaha sometimes id trap my most hated villager with a bunch of holes surrounding them and then fill them with pitfalls so no matter which way they went they fall in. then i would push them back in to the other ones.

im a horrible mayor lol...

polka dot set is horribly ugly btw but it gets ever so slightly less ugly when customized to blue.
