You guys arent answering my question.
There is no difference. Just plug it in like normal.
Um, there is a difference, a big one.
But it's not really worth the fifteen-twenty dollars even if it does improve a little bit.
I think they are $40. ._.

Yes, yes it is. I'm not sure how much they cost, but I'm pretty sure it's not $40. Probably around $15. I'll have to ask Andrew. Anyway, yes, you shouldn't play games just for the graphics, but if you don't get component cables and your Wii is on an HDTV, it will look like crap. Blurry, dull, and very hard on your eyes. It's not being picky about graphics, it's wanting to be able to actually see the game you're playing. HDTVs just aren't made for standard output, so you need component cables to make it look any good.

EDIT: Here's Nintendo's official component cables for Wii, available at their online store: http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=117711&currency=USD&catalogId=10001&tranId=0&lastAction=setCurr&storeId=10001&languageId=-1&categoryId=62707&ddkey=http:SetCurrencyPreference

That's what Andrew and I have, and it works like a charm. It's $29.95 right now, so it might have gone up in price or something, because Andrew remembers buying his for $19.95. Maybe he's mistaken, I dunno. Either way, $29.95 isn't a bad price for what it's worth. You won't regret it.
