What's Raymond going for now?

I wasn't interested at all in Raymond but recently I saw some artwork of him and now I want him on my island LOL
Last I saw, someone traded over a thousand tickets for him lmao

so raymond keeps pinging me to move out and I'm curious: how much could I get for him? like i know he sells for ridiculous amounts but how much?

Instead of trading for him though...
A friend of mine did the "Camper" method, which does involve A LOT of TTing.
More or less, no smug villagers on your island, apparently means you have a better chance of a smug showing up in your campsite.
So by process of elimination... He'll show up eventually.

Someone also managed to Island Hop and find him under 200 Tickets.

Yeah I will try island hopping, I have a bunchof tickets but no where near enough to buy him outright LOL thanks!

It took me arounds 300 tickets to find him. And others found him much sooner.

It was a pain in the butt, but I did have fun getting extra DIYs and bumping into rare islands like hybrid flower islands. Liked watching random villagers walk around too.

Getting Raymond through trading can be disheartening. 1000 NMTs I decided to take my luck in island hopping and it paid off. I give you my luck for finding Raymond and hopefully soon his amiibo card will be on sale soon to stop the the ridiculous price.

Hi I was lurking on this forum since the beginning of this month but I couldn't find this information of when trading, why do people want the villagers to have their original clothes when you can just talk to Isabelle. Also where can I find link for proper etiquette when completing a sale? I want to get rid of Sherb but when hes sold I get the NMT's first then let them ask him move right? (sorry if its a dumb question lol).

I was able to find Raymond after 25 villagers using the campsite method! If you have a few hours to spare and don't mind time traveling (and also have no smug villagers on your island currently), I think you have a decent shot at getting him.
