I'm an Aries! I'm high energy like an Aries but I'm also really shy so it doesn't quite fit me.
Hm, I can see the connection sometimes, but I don't always.
The thing about astrology is that there isn't just a single sign for everyone. The one that most everyone knows is the sun sign, which has most influence on your personality.
But there are also other signs, such as Moon, Rising, and then one for all the planets. Then each of those explains a certain trait about your personality. Getting a full birth chart gives you an idea of the kind of person you are. A good one to use is here.
The website tells you what each planet represents and how your sign in that planet affects you. I wouldnt pay too much attention to opposite/conjunct/square cause then it gets really complicated.

That's the whole idea... so that anyone can read them and say, "This is SO me!" People love to be told more about themselves, even when it's entirely made up.

I'm a Taurus! Which is usually quite accurate for me. 
Those who fall under the Taurus sign are said to be very loyal, loving, and hard-working, which I'd say is like me. And that they eat a lot. The one thing though that isn't so accurate is that apparently they're stubborn and, I don't think I really am. :\ But either way these star signs are just a load of rubbish anyway haha. xD But they're just still fun to read into if you're bored.

I'm a Leo and a Rooster.
I don't know much about the Chinese Zodiac, but with the Leo I am closer to a cusp of Leo and Cancer and I have a lot more Cancer tendencies, I am actually very quiet and do not enjoy the spotlight at all. I know a lot of true Leos and we are very much different.

I'm a Gemini and I think I fit the archetype fairly well.

Chinese zodiac: Ox
Well, because of the way zodiacs work they're basically relatable to everyone, but Aquarius is normally listed as being unemotional and I don't think that word describes me well. Other than that, Aquarius is pretty spot on. The Chinese zodiac is really far out. These are some things they said which couldn't be further from the truth "tend to classify almost everything into two basic categories, good or bad", "They hold up their high standards as a model and severely judge those who don't aspire to maintain these same ideals", "They are very family-oriented".
