Animal Crossing Wishlist!
I thought it would be fun to talk about the top things that everyone would wish for in future Animal Crossing games. I think New Leaf has added some awesome new features to the series that have added a lot more life, but I would love to see the next game add even more. Here are some of the main things I would love to see. (They are not in order)
1. More personalities! More personality types as well as more more variation within each personality type. For example, every 'Normal' should not be the same. They should share some basic traits, but also have some traits unique to that particular villager. Maybe some variance in their hobbies and also maybe some personality traits specific to their species.
2. Much more dialog! Also more rewards for befriending the villagers. As in the more you talk to them and do favors and become their friend, the more they'll have to say to you. Similar to getting Sable to warm up to you, but on a larger scale.
3. Some light Harvest Moon elements, such as light farming and cooking. Instead of just planting fruit trees, it would be awesome to plant some simple veggies (carrots, tomatoes, etc). It would be really cute if there was a simple cooking mechanic where you could make things like carrot cake for rabbit villagers and so on. They could even do an optional public works project where you could build a little cafe to run. That way it would be up to the player if they even wanted to bother.
4. Just more to do in general. Such as working in a cafe as mentioned above, or even being able to design your villager's homes like in HHD. It could be that when a villager hits a certain "friendship status" they may ask you to help them redesign their home and/or front yard.
5. More customization! More ways to customize your town as well as your character. The ability to place certain types of furniture around town in front yards and things like that. Also, more faces and hairstyles, more wigs, more furniture, clothes etc.
6. As mayor, I believe we should have some say in where new villagers are allowed to put their house. Upon loading up your save, Isabelle should say something like..."Oh, I have to tell you, someone new is interested in moving into town. Would you like to meet with them?" Saying no would result in a random plot in town. Saying yes would result in a sceen where a villager is arriving via train. You would then be able to greet said villager and take them for a walk around town, to show them available places for their home. Once a space was agreed upon, a plot would be set up and the villager would leave via train. The next morning their house would be set up and they would have moving in boxes.
7. Last but very important...Some kind of option to keep certain villagers from moving! Some people want villagers to move in and out naturally, but many of us have villagers we never want to lose. We should at least have the option to somehow keep them. Maybe once reaching a certain friendship level with a villager, they will never move without getting you to ok it.
