Nintendo and Doc Brown invent a time machine together. It's a DeLorean, but they nickname it the Mario Kart. They send you back in time to make them rename the Wii U to something that doesn't sound like a toddler's babbling. What do you name it?

The 'Wii 2'. Make it obvious to the people who only know something is new if it has a higher number.

Or the 'Dolphin'.

Or the 'D*ckpunch Megabox Nuclear ****blaster 4,000'. People would at least stop asking "is it an add on for the Wii?"

I hate to confess to having been a part of that crowd, very early on.

I never bought a Wii, so when they announced the Wii U and all the focus was on the GamePad instead of the console, I was like, "I don't get it. Do you just buy the weird tablet controller for your Wii? What does it do? Why is it special? This is an enhancement?"

Nintendo, I love you, but learn marketing pls.

I support the idea of calling it a Wii 2, or frankly just naming the system after the GamePad itself. :v

Nintendo 512. This is after I rename the Gamecube Nintendo 128 and the Wii Nintendo 256. No more silly misspelled words that way.

The Nintendo 1.

Make clear its from Nintendo and start a new count, like Tao said it makes it a lot easier for parents to know what they are buying for their kids, since that seems to be the largest part of the market they work in.

Despite the 'Wii U' sounding a bit like a Wii accessory and people still not realizing it's an entirely new console (as I've said), I actually do like the name Wii U. Just thought I would throw that out there. If marketing and awareness for it wasn't an issue, I would say keep it.

It's feels nice to say, especially if you say it over and over so you sound like a firetruck.

I just tried that and it DID sound like a firetruck if I repeat myself really fast. lol

^Reminds me of the Wuhu tracks of Mario Kart.. dude.

Idk this one shoulda been named TV DS or something 'cause technically it's dualscreens :p

Uncreative. but tbh the Wii U name sounds wrong... You are not really the console, it's not VR or anything. Wii-2 or something sounds good as well, I mean 2 screens, it's the sequel kinda.

Yea but saying "Wa Hu" over and over just sounds like Mario spamming the long jump.

Firetruck > Mario spamming long jump.

Nee-naw. Also they'd probably get racist sues because it sounds too Asian
