what would you have liked the museum day stamp prizes to be?

The thing that really disappointed me though was;
1) Nothing for the art gallery? Even though it was already added.
2) Happy Museum Day. Happy datamine showing lots of museum upgrades. Happy none of this correlates??? Nintendo we haven't had any updates in weeks and people are getting vocally bored of the forced slower pace than NL. Then you conveniently have an event for the building you have a load of content planned for... Why wasn't this tied in??

yeah, i totally agree, it seems a very strange choice to build up an event focusing on the museum and then not add the updates for it that we know are there. perhaps they aren't ready yet or they want to have a lot of mini events for people to keep up interest, but the issue is both, that these mini games have to be interesting enough to make up for weeks without updates and also tbh, whether that datamined museum code was actually ready to implement. which we can infer it is not, lol. or they have some other plans

What were the prizes? I didnt participate

the prizes were 3 plaques you can put on the wall - gold bug, gold fish and gold fossil. they look like standard HHA plaques or whatever. and tho you could repeat the event every day, the prizes were the same. nothing bad, but just not special in my opinion

What I agree on is that it really sucks how you only get those same items when the event has lasted a few weeks. We didn't even get the art gallery room wall hanger thing!!

I would not want it to be a random chance thing though as we would get each piece exclusive to that day to make us want to keep coming back, this would make for some nice trading if it was randomized too though so its a hard call but I'd rather just get it then and there ;p

yeah! i do actually think the randomized method is peak nintendo tho, lol. that's how PC fortune cookies work, how balloons work, etc. so i would expect the prizes to be randomized from a pool of items, actually. which makes the same plaque ever day thing, actually....not their M.O.? very strange, lol.

i personally love trading online haha, so i would have enjoyed the challenge of collecting and trading for all the items i wanted among the chaos

The art gallery only gets added once you reach a certain amount of donations. I think Nintendo wanted everyone to be able to complete everything. There will probably be a future event to a gallery plaque.

As for what prizes I would've liked to see, maybe a book with information about each of the museum's exhibits? Instead of daily cards, we could have stamped the blank pages of the book, eventually filling it in by the event's end.

I wish I could agree with you but I can't. The event went on long enough that anyone with the museum at the start of the event could unlock the gallery by the end of the event. Would they need more effort yes, but it wouldn't be locked from them, and they could also just get a friend to get a spare one as you know we could get like 12 total.

You could argue what about people who got the game late and couldn't unlock it in time too, but those people inherantly missed a real time event. Those people also missed Easter, and if they're that sad about it, TTing is still an option.

I've seen stamp sites when i went to an aquarium on my holiday in japan (osaka aquarium if i remember) so while i understands that the event weren't meant to be a "huge" one the prizes were pretty disappointing. They could've made the prize as museum memorabilias (posters, animal plushies, museum hats, etc, think about stuffs you got from a museum's gift shop!) and just give the plaque once every other prizes has been received (so this way, people would have incentives to visit more than once!). Because honestly, who needs multiple copies of these museum plaques?

The stamp rally was pretty disappointing. It was kind of interesting the first time, but the fact that they don't even change up the prizes really bummed me out.
