What will happen with the voided villager?

I have two towns. One villager is in boxes. What happen if that villager was voided, will it fill up my the 10th villager spot in my other town automatically?

Not automatically, the voided villager would have a chance to move to your other town if you street pass yourself or wifi though.

Then they probably will move into your other town if there's room for them. If you don't want that I'd definitely suggest clearing your void.

Not automatically, only if you streetpass or wifi with your other town. If you don't, there's no chance of the villager moving there.

It's not really that simple. People used to say that based on the idea that if you visited a full town, the voided villager would try to move there and wouldn't be able to, and would end up being deleted. Since then, there's been lots of posts and people saying it doesn't work that way, it's not guaranteed that your void will be cleared. I'd do that just in case but it's not guaranteed, and the only way to be sure is to have the voided villager move into someone else's town.

Definitely not automatically like some people have mentioned already. A villager can take a few days to move over to the other town if streetpass is turned on both 3ds. They have the highest probability of going to your second town though since that's the main town closest to where the villager can just hop over to. However, if you get rid of them first by letting them be adopted before they are voided then there's no problem.

Sometimes it can be "cleared" but it's not 100%. I had Sylvia cleared and thought that she would not be able to move into a friend's town since it had been a week after I had voided her. I also traded with a different person with a full town and streetpassed multiple times, but it didn't work.

I had Eloise and she moved to my sister's town almost two months later. it's pretty weird. I worked as a deliverer for a giveaway and wifi'd with plenty of people who had 10 villagers and she still made it into her town.
