What was your town named after?

I got the idea for the name of my town after seeing a bunch of moss growing in my garden and, I sort of went 'wouldn't it be cool if there was a secret hidden village with moss growing and a nice bay', and BOOM Mossbay was created lol anyway thats just my story :)

My town, Glendale, is named after a planet in the first episode of Bravest Warriors (a show on youtube by the same guy that made Adventure Time). I made my town about a week after the show came out, and I'm still really happy with the name :D There are also a lot of references to the show, the studio that made it, and other shows by that studio in my town. For example, my town flag is a picture of Catbug (who is also my profile picture) from Bravest Warriors. I also make a lot of my villagers' greetings and catchphrases things like Frederator, or Bunless 9 that relate to my Bravest Warriors/Frederator studios town theme.

Mine was named after my inability to be creative. I was unable to think of a witty title for my town (New leaf was my first AC game), so I just decided to name it after my verbal tick, where I have a tendency to say "Nen" when I kind of want to start a conversation, but I have no idea about what subject I want to talk about. Therefore I named it "Nentown". Of course, as a result, when I got City Folk, I called my town there "Nencity". In the next AC game, I'll probably be naming it "Nenopolis", or something, lol.

I named mine Meowtown after my first ever Gamecube AC town when I was little c: Ive always loved the name, its cute and has a nice ring to it in my opinion. Its also a name that I never get sick of which I need because I have restarted towns in the past purely because I got sick of the town name I chose :c

RainTown because I like rain. Anyway, it was the name of all my previous towns and I didn't want to break the chain of RainTown.

My first town wasn't really named after anything. Back when I had WW I wanted to name my town Little Town, but when there wasn't enough space for the own of the word town, so I created the name Little T, and I've used that name for CF and my first NL town.

I actually just got my second town last night, and it took me a few minutes, but I decided to name it Reveria, after Fantasy Life :)

I named my town "Junes" (pron. joo-ness) from the game 'Persona 4.' Why didn't I name it 'Inaba?' Well, my friend already claimed that name, because he plays Yu Narukami in our group, and I, well, I am Yosuke. :) And proud of it.

Persona 4 is how I met my group of friends. They changed my life for the better, gave me memories that I can call my "happy place," and thanks to them, I've become confident in pursuing my dream to become a voice actor. I've already been picked up to voice in a game. I have no family here, and my own is too far north to visit. With these guys, they've become my family. I'm no longer alone. :) Persona 4 means a lot to me because of where it's lead me.

And so, since I am the group's Yosuke Hanamura, I happily named my town "Junes."

You'd think my town Sapphire is named after a sapphire (nah duh). It is, but there's a deeper story behind it. There was a youtuber who played 1-2 episodes of ACNL (I don't know if I should advertise her, she's not a primary ACNL gamer, also, not talking about Chuggaconroy, though he's awesome. Anyways, back to the show folks!) I instantly fell in love with ACNL. I saved up money for months to buy a 3ds and a copy of ACNL. That youtuber named her town Topaz. Following the gem theme, I named my town Sapphire.

For my 2nd town, I named it Palinoia, which means 'the compulsive repetition of an act until it's perfect'. I was determined to restart, work on, or whatever on my town until it as perfect. Plus it was a pretty name sooo...

Nowadays, I usually just go to google translate and just translate words to Latin or something.

I named my town after my favorite childhood movie Melonia.
Melonia is an island with a big melon-lookalike mountain in the middle and everything is blooming and green <3 beautiful :3

I named my town Erilea, after a village in the Throne of Glass book series because I'm completely and utterly obsessed with it.

I named my town after a book I made when I was young called Ezrealandia, but since it didn't fit I just called it Ezreal.

Riften is a town in skyrim
Zephyr was a just a nice, light-hearted term that I thought would be perfect for a town with all my favorite villagers, however I feel it isn't doing them justice so I may restart it.... not to mention I want Vic instead of Annalise at this point
Rutabaga is a tuberous vegetable? idk, I liked how it sounded when I recommended it to another user who didn't use it lol
