I couldn't think of one, so I looked at my boyfriend and was like "...Timtopia." So that's my town name now. I kinda wish I would've picked a better name, but oh well I wanted to be unique I guess.
My main town is named Potatown, after the fictional town my OCs live in because I'm a dork (which in turn is sorta named after my hometown because it's known for it's potatoes)
My second town is Miau, which is pretty self-explanatory XD
My cycling town Valla comes from Fire Emblem Fates
My first town I named after my WW town because of nostalgia (it was called nowhere, I just loved hearing villagers say 'welcome to nowhere' and stuff like that, but then I was 14). My cycling/hybrid/holding town is called Haven because when I got the second hand cartrage there was already a town called Haven and I thought it was sweet so I restarted the town but kept the name, and my third town, I spent a LOT of time thinking of a name, I tried all sorts of beautiful words relating to nature and safe places and then it hit me, it was the cutest word I could think of and I just knew it was perfect even if it wasn't beautiful and was actually a bit odd... My new town is called Mitten.
The name of my town was taken by a game that is very near and dear to me. It's from Drakan: The Ancients' Gates. Specifically, I named my town after the hub city, Surdana. The town tune is even the Surdana theme, notably the part starting from here. I love hearing it every time I talk to one of my villagers, and the version of it that the clock plays at the top of each hour just about gives me shivers every time. It also makes me feel awesome knowing that any villagers I might adopt out to others might be humming this tune in their new towns.
I just named mine after my favorite kind of villager and then tried to get all that type. Hard with frequent move outs and surprise move ins, but still fun to me.
