My first town I named after my hometown. I named my second town after Granada Television, the British ITV company behind Coronation Street, Brideshead Revisited, and World in Action. And finally I named my third town, after the borough and historic town in south London, also named Croydon.

These days Croydon has a different reputation Like your reasons behind each one though!

I named my town off a variation of my favorite animal the elephant.....so I called it mammoth!!

My Zelda themed town is named after a village that appears in a few Zelda games. I ended up with the themed town because I was moving a side character, Zelda, from my 1st town and didn't want to start over from square one. It works well because of the windmill and well pwps. (Town is Kakariko.)

My cycle town is named Takenoko after a board game of the same name. The object of the game is to grow bamboo and I planned on the town being a zen themed one with lots of bamboo.

I wasn't very original with my other towns. (Utopia and Avalon)

i wanted to name my town Shabu Shabu (Japanese Hot Pot) because i like eating it. But it's too long to fit, so i settled for Shabu instead.

The name has grown on me so it's okay now, it's not themed - just an open range zoo. lols

I used to use this username called poopa for awhile when I play agario! I always thought it was from the movie, "Lets Be Cops" I might have mixed up the name, but yeah just one day thought of it and my animal crossing town name became Poopalis. Also inspired by the app metropolis from the app store xD

I think I like the reasoning behind naming my second town, Granada, the most. By some coincidence, one of the ramps to the beach is located in the town's northwest corner, just as Granada Television was the ITV contractor for North West England.

Mine is named after the legend of Zelda (clearly )my second town is named after the village that Link came from.
I don't so much regret the name of the second town but my current main town I do. I had no idea so many people had had the same idea as me to name their town Hyrule

My Town Solace is named for the definition "comfort or consolation in a time of great distress or sadness." after a stressful morning at work i often go to my town to destress and relax with it.

Ive had different towns with lots of different names but this ones just stuck and i really love it.

I just tried to think of some cool words but I didn't want to think too hard about it, so I just chose one of the first things that popped into my head.

my village, Hooptown, was supposed to have a basketball theme. Ah er, that part is still unfinished. Mayor Billy is named for my favorite basketball coach, Billy Donovan. he has the basketball hoop in his house, and all the side characters are supposed to have them on display but like i said, it's still being worked on as far as getting the theme and town decor in place goes...

My town, Juperu, was named after an old friend of mine. I haven't seen him for ten years, but when we were kids we'd go over to his place and play Animal Crossing: Population Growing! for the gamecube. He named his town Juperu, saying it sounded cool.

Anyhow, when we finally got our own copy of Population Growing, we had recently moved from that area. My brother, upset that he would likely never see his friend or his Animal Crossing town again, told me we had to name it Juperu. Now my brother's moved out and gone to college, but I still name my towns Juperu out of respect for both of them.

My second town, Jupereux, is a combination of Juperu and the french word "deux," meaning two, implying that this is my secondary town.

I named mine after the Sci-Fi Disney movie, "John Carter". It's about aliens, space, and time travel into the future from the Civil war times from Earth to Mars (complicating movie plot, I know, but it's so much fun I promise).

My brother is 11 years old and we watched it together and we both love Animal Crossing, so when we both got the game together, we thought it would be cool that his town would be named after Mars (Barsoom), and mine would be named after Earth (Jasoom). So that's how I got my town name

My town is Merange. I named it after my bedroom (dont laugh), I think my bedroom is cute so I always so to my parents or friends 'I am just going up to my Merange' so I named it that.
