Mine was named after my cat.What about you? Do you wish you would've picked something different?
Both of my towns are named after a game series I hold dear to me. Lots of good memories playing it.
My town was named after Pok?mon Platinum. Back then, I used to really love the series and would always have tonnes of Pok?mon stuff in my town, but nowadays I think it's just a really bad series. Still, I kind of think that Platinum as a town name is rather unique.

My first town I named after my hometown. I named my second town after Granada Television, the British ITV company behind Coronation Street, Brideshead Revisited, and World in Action. And finally I named my third town, after the borough and historic town in south London, also named Croydon.
My town was originally supposed to be called Lacunosa (from Pokemon Black/White), but thanks to me making my town when I was half-asleep, and I didn't wanna google it, it ended up Lucanosa. I don't mind it, in fact I like Lucanosa better. That's also how I chose my username on here, too; it's based on my town name.

Balamb was named after a town in Final Fantasy VIII because well, I wasn't feeling very original and kinda didn't care.
Bunifrey was actually named by my hubby in memory of our pet rabbit, Bun Bun. I'm also a big Whovian, so the name is a combination of bunny and Gallifrey (The Doctor's home planet), so that became Bunifrey. This is also my favorite town.
My newest town is Gemedet, which came from the Myst novels, namely The Book of Ti'ana. They're some of my favorite books ever and I wanted something to really represent my favorite book in the series.

Tricera is the name of my first town and Tops is the name of that towns mayor. I don't really remember why I named that town after a dinosaur, but I did and I really like it in a way? Like Tricera sounds really nice imo.
Apocalia was just made up to sound like the theme it had. Honestly kind of displeased with it since it sounds kinda mediocre? Even like Apocaly would have sounded better, but w/e stuck with it now.
Neovi was based on a dinosaur name as well, Neovenator. I have no idea why it ended up having the i at the end tho. I kinda had trouble remembering the word at first, so maybe thats why?. Like was it Neove? Neovi? Noevi? Noeve?
