What was your first video game?

The very first game I ever played was Super Mario World on the SNES that my parents owned. I don't recall exactly what the first game was that I specifically had for myself, but it probably was another Mario game. I know at some point I was gifted a Game Boy Pocket once it became clear I liked video games, and I recall that it received Super Mario Land alongside it, so failing to recall more specifically, I'll say that was the first game bought just for me.

I’m pretty sure it was New Super Mario Bros. 2. Looking at it objectively, I can definitely see why so many people dislike it or at least think it’s one of the weaker mainline titles, because it definitely is, but I’ll always have nostalgia for it.

First game I ever played was the NES version of Tetris. First game that was my very own was Super Mario Land 2. It is one of the few games that I have ever 100% completed.

My first console game was a Bratz game for PS2, but I remember playing Clifford the Big Red Dog, Freddie Fish, and JumpStart PC games before that. The Bratz game is probably what got me into gaming, though, since it made me play other console games.

First game I ever owned/played was Sonic the Hedgehog 1 for the Sega Genesis. I was 4 years old and boy was it heavily advertised on TV (which proves i'm very old). I WANTED IT! So I forgot if it was Christmas or my birthday of 1991 but it was AMAZING to me at the time.

My very first game was Ocarina of Time and I was so absolutely obsessed with it! There were times where I wouldn't even play the game, I would just walk around Castle Town and vibe lmao. I absolutely hated what happens to the world when you pull the Master Sword out though, I remember I literally started sobbing in class once because I literally just started thinking about it and it freaked me out SO bad.
