I am struggling right now with my Train Station and what to do with it. Though in all fairness, I've barely begun this town, so I'm sure something will click eventually lol.

the beach... i never know what to do with it, so it just becomes overpopulated with flowers and banana/coconut trees..

I've never even reached a point in any of my towns where I'm ready to landscape my beach :c It's pretty much my flower storage space lol

The space behind Retail. It was empty and odd looking compared to the rest of town, but I managed to do something nice with it after a few tries.
Now I've got a space between my left bridge and the Police Station that has been bothering me for months but nothing I do there ever feels right. Right now it's just overgrown with flowers to keep the bamboo from spawning. I want Frobert to suggest the instrument shelter, but I don't think it would look good in that spot either.

Either the beach or the different buildings/train station are giving me the most difficulty when it comes to landscaping. I have no clue what to do with them, so I'll probably just end up surrounding them with hybrids, and possibly hook them up with paths if I ever decide to add paths back into my town again.

Do you have any screenshots of that spot?

Yeah, my train station is bothering me right now. I'll probably just stick a fountain in front of it and make a path around it :/

Behind buildings and things :(

Around my villagers homes (very little space as they are all in a line)

hmmm the beach

the train station and other buildings

yep :I mind you I have barely started

The beach since your options are so limited, and narrow strips of land. I hand an awkward narrow strip of land in my old town and that was one of the reasons I had wanted to play on a new town.

Took me practically all day, but I finally figured out what I'll do with my station.

Pink = Path
Dark Green = Cedar
Light Green = Shrub
Purple = Fountain (i use purple for all pwps)
Yellow = Lamppost
Brown = Stone tiles

Kitty I plan to keep so I had to work with her house, but the one next to her I plan to move out. It's also winter in my town now, so I'll probably fill the empty spaces with red flowers.

I've seen people do really simple things with their narrow strips of land that looked really good, but I don't know if I'm creative enough to do much with them :c I guess it'd depend on how narrow and if anything can fit there. In my main town I have a very small strip of narrow land, but it was big enough for a villager house so I have two who moved in side by side there.

I always start with the beach first because it's always the easiest thing to landscape. I have two separate beaches so I planted bananas trees on one beach and coconuts on the other. Lined behind the trees with yellow lilies and purple pansies and used clovers kinda like a path. I find it hard to landscape big areas though. I never know what pwp to put and how to arrange my flowers and trees.

That looks like a really nice layout, could you give pics?

I think the hardest part is STARTING. I have no clue where to begin. I have a perfect cherry forest around my house, and a dirt path though it and to my door, but other than that I'm not sure.
I want to do a camp ground in my orchard, with a log bench and a fire pit as well as the actual campground PWP, and I want to use a tiny little corner to put solar and wind turbine PWPs up, and I do really like gardens with fountains and bushes and flowers, but beyond that I have NO idea.

hm, i think the hardest areas of my town to landscape was probably around bridges; rivers; trees and houses. also, i have done absolutely nothing with beach except plant a load of coconut and banana trees :/

The beach, there's literally nothing to decorate it with than just flowers and seashells. The developers really need to work on the beach decoration and im hoping it'll happen in the next game. There's also an area with round edges in my town and it it was quite hard planting trees. There's also a small gap between punchy and bob's house and i have no idea what to fill it with.
