The music I enjoy most is metal. Here are some of my favorite sub genres and some bands to go w/ those:
heavy/classic metal - Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Manilla Road, A Sound of Thunder, Artizan, Grim Reaper, Enforcer, Riot
power metal - Helloween, Iron Savior, Lost Horizon, Iced Earth, Jag Panzer, Kobra and the Lotus, Triosphere, Dream Evil, Rage, Cage, DragonForce, Twisted Tower Dire, Falconer, Neonfly, Firewind, Nightwish, Striker,

Other than this I like a fair bit of psychedelic rock, progressive rock, downtempo, industrial, classical and jazz as well. Here are some examples: Yes, King Crimson, The Mars Volta, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Marillion, Cream, Boards of Canada, Pretty Lights, Shpongle, Entheogen, Nightmares On Wax, Aphex Twin, The Orb, Miles David, Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Grateful Dead, Skinny Puppy, and VNV Nation.
There's SOOOO many more I could've added to all of this but I'll leave it at that for now.

Lo-fi/chill hip hop for the most part. But it fluctuates with my mood. Some days I'm crying to MCR and other days I'm dancing to Nicki Minaj, lol. I have a list of favorite artists if anybody needs new stuff uwu

I listen to a lot of genres but I prefer music that is atmospheric.
I like music where the vocals take me places and soothes me, rather than the beats. Though I'm not one to turn down an upbeat song with soulful/funky guitars.
Also, I care so much about lyrics.

Honestly I'm in love with music so I'll pretty much adore any song. But I listen to different music while I'm doing different things like homework, driving, cleaning my room, etc. On Spotify, I make a Playlist for every month and June is looking pretty cool at the moment. ^-^ I listen to anything from 30s music to Heavy Metal.
